Power FC v's Power FC Pro?

Im in the market of purchasing an Apexi Power FC.... now im a little confused because i found that there are 2 versions that are avail.

Power FC and Power FC Pro......

I know that if you purchase the pro version u get the boost solenoid kit with it.

But my question is... is that all the difference between the two? are the ECU's identical in specs? ie. can i buy a "standard" PFC and later on attach the boost solenoid kit to it? or does the Pro version have different software and hardware built in to the standard PFC?
