I've given it some thought, SAU members are given first preference. Please check the first post to see if your on the list, if your not please PM me with your interest to go, its a bit of a hassle now filtering though each post.

We will aim for 25 cars with a break in the middle. The order in which the deposits are given to me will determine where they are in on the day. (you can move around the order when I get things finalised)

If your not from the forum please pm me with your car details and I will see if we can fit you in.

Also please tell me if you have a FWD car, you will be first or last depending on how many FWD's need to be run.

still going ahead?

im keen to, as since 31 club dyno day ive put a full 3" system on, got my actuator hooked up right and i'll b manual. keen to see if theres a major difference

I'm interested in supporting this dyno day, as with others in the past.

As this is a skyline board obviously I'll be happy to step aside if there are more skylines that need spots.

Dyno day is about the only chance my car has to get WOT at the moment.

By any chance is that 450-500 rwkw a combined develop car of the VL Boy's? Or an individual by some chance that use to be red in colour? (Car color) I don't mind either way, but im aiming at 140-150rwkw, so you can kinda see my possible want to be first or early, possibly early so there isn't an anticlimax at the end with the more powerful cars :(.

Cubes.......a 3L RB30ET into an R32 isn't something i'd call a small modification :P lol. A pod filter and exhaust maybe.... This is looking like a good day....

dude don't worry about it. my car is only gonna put out 145, im using this as a test to make sure my new fuel pump fixed my dangerously lean air fuel mixture. just use it as a learning experiance to find out what other people have tried and what works best etc.

Chops, you are from SAU and for a while too, doesnt matter what car you had, let me know if you want to run for sure so you can send a deposit.

Cheers.

Count me in then mate, I'll deposit some cash in your account.

I'm keen to come down and check it out. i wouldnt dare put my car on he dyno. Wouldnt want to bring a bad name to the R32 fans. As she is stock with just a cat back exhaust and pod. Woo i feel the power lol.

Im keen to come down and help out in anyway if thats cool.

Looking forward to seeing some of your cars on the dyno and looking at what i can do to get the most out of my engine

It's really not about making the most power, it's more about socialising with a group of like minded enthusiasts, discussing mods and their effects, and then getting the thirst for spending buckets more cash on your car!

Also, dyno days are generally the cheapest dyno run you will get, so it can serve as a good base line to gauge your improvements with future mods.

BBQ, you pay as you eat. Probably $1 a snag and some drinks available.

Been a bit busy havent had time to update the thread, will be updated tonight.

Thanks for the pm's about payments, keep them coming, the sooner we get to 20+ the less stress I'll have. =0

Darren,

What dyno did he run on the night before to read 50rwkw more????

From what ive seen, Shauns dyno seems to be fairly accurate.

Tilbrooks, 2 cars got tuned there the night before, one dropped 30rwkw to 230rwkw

one dropped 50+ 348rwkw from 405rwkw, they both weren't happy

cheers

'darren

Im sorry to tell you boys.

But those Work CR Kais arent mine. I was just lending my stockies to a mate to help him get his g/f's car off defect. I just love the picture so I use it. But as Chops said. I should chuck the 4dr on and see what it makes now. Then work from there. And the price is awsome.

Cheers and cya at the dyno day.

    • Just one more post to show the final result and the original "janky" solution for a laugh. Everything feels really tight and no wobbling at all, very pleased 🙂
    • After drying a few days, time to put her back together
    • The hot exhaust light will come on not from just the cat being blocked, but it's just a temp sensor, and it's designed to warn you to not do things like park in long grass.   If you've been pushing the motor a bit, it can cause the light to come on.   Second if the cat is rattling, I'd suspect it's not blocked, but instead falling apart inside.   The easiest "fix" until you can get a cat put back in, is to unbolt your one, bash the rest of the insides out, and then bolt it back in.   For a daily driver/street car, I am in agreeance of put a cat in the car. If it were race car I wouldn't care if it were removed.
    • No worries at all 🫡 I think the most satisfying things to make are the little bits that are just impossible to find or they're no longer manufactured. Generally I always try to replace parts with OEM wherever possible. This little project is also great because it'll never see the light of day, but strengthen these brackets so it's not just relying on the little standard screws in the headlight plastic. As soon as I saw the standard brackets and screws I thought, "well I'm not going to install with just the screws, the plastic tabs will just snap off". It's crazy how expensive everything has become yeah. But I suppose that's supply and demand; granted it's a lot easier to get brand new genuine parts these days which is fantastic 😊, I don't have to get totally reamed at the local Nissan dealer ha ha We sure are lucky we have all these manufacturers making parts these days, a few really great Australian companies too like Platinum Racing Products and Fit Mint Automotive, what a time to be alive ❤️ . I've got my eye on the RB26 head by PRP as mine has a very fine hairline crack, so that'll need to be addressed some time in the future. If you have any requests or odd things to make feel free to let me know and I can have a crack at making replacement parts ✌️
