Hi all, Did anyone have their battery replaced as my original is dead. Is there anything I should be aware of when battery is disconected. I have not driven my baby (R32 gtst M) for about 4 weeks. Also does anyone know what battery is compatible to buy. Thanks

I have used all sorts of batteries in the past. The thing I hate is normal/maintenace free batteries how they leak acid everywhere. Makes things go rusty.

In my 33, because the batt is in the boot, I went with a sealed battery.

From now on, i'll get a sealed one no matter what car it is.

i changed my r32 gtst type M battery not long ago and had to get bigger terminals as my stock ones were too small for the new battery.

just a heads up mate.

something i should of done straight away now that i think of it.

car starts so much easier.

battery fits nice n snug

big improvement, but will still leak.

Regarding the terminals - if you had to change the terminals, then you've bought the wrong battery.

Head down to battery world in ryde - on concord road.

They have batteries big small, all sorts of terminals, sealed, leakers, etc.

mine is in engine bay so dosent bother me with the leaking....

plus id much rather have nice fresh gold plated terminals than the 13year old nissan ones >_<
