I personally find white cars with black rims looks the best.. won't have to clean em as often.

My favourite is a glossy black mesh pattern with a deep chrome lip.

IMO .....white car with black wheels looks mad.....at night, car looks like its floating and the JDM style

But yea....white car with white wheels looks good

i agree that the white rims look good on white cars. ive got more of a pearl, off-white colour to my rims which don't look too bad. something different instead of full white all round anyway.

I vote don't do it! I admit it can look good but a lot look tacky. Personally, I'm not a big fan of body kits and have minimal exterior mods which makes the rims an intergral part of the look of the car.

I like having something to offset the cars colour like with your car, Gold with a polished lip/dish always gets my head turning on R33's.

I wanted 18's on mine in this style of rim because it's wider and has more of a dish to it but I'm happy with the result

Black rims gives a hardcore Jap racer look but it makes it hard to see any detail of the rim which if your spending $ for the street isn't that great. Although painting many nissan factory rims is a very cheap, effective way of getting a menacing look.

My 80c :laughing-smiley-014:

it is an White R33 with a full Nismo 400R body kit and 18 inch Speedy cheetah Style wheels, follow the link to get an idea of what the rims look like..

Look for the rims called CHEETAH....

and also if you think it will look any good..

Beef

Don't like any of them... my two cents... you're looking at the wrong wheels! Good wheels for your car? Anything late model WORK - RAYS - or my personal favorite... SSR Professors (available in white) see attatched.

Seriously... Jap car... Jap wheels

i think white on white looks gay, i have a white r33 and would never get white rims even if they were worth $5000 and i won them in a comp.

with that said i would go for golden/bronze it looks fully sick when car is lowerd a little and some decent tyres.

grey/black would be the next option

I reckon black. White wouldn't look to bad if they were a thinner spoke or something. I had these unique light weight jap wheels that are white. I get ppl saying they love them and others saying i should get chrome or something. I don't really want to get rid of them. I thinki want to get them powder coated

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
