Been a 4th year apprentice and working weekends at an Auto 1 makes seriving my R33 series II quite cheap. But if you are paying $250 for an oil and filter change, spark plugs, a rotate and balance and an alignment as well as a general check over then thats not to bad, especially if that includes parts. Doing the plugs on the r33 is time consuming compared to most straight 6 engines and just roatating and balancing wheels with an alignment takes time.

I generally do an Oil and filter change, Fuel filter, plugs and a general checkover for people i know with skylines for about $90 plus parts. I wont do skylines that are slammed on the ground any more though, that is just way to hard, esspecially since i just do them in a workspace at home. Working with a hoist is much easier.

Anyway, point been, $250 isnt overly expensive.

Hi there,

I've just bought a 1996 r33 skyline as well...and I've booked in a major service at BD4's at Gladesville which will include changing timing belt, all the usual checks, tuning, lubrication etc top to bottom check.....they quoted me $800 - $1000.

Is this steep considering BD4's has a pretty good reputation.???????

Sik, everyones here to help but Mac does seem to have a bit of an attitude, even towards people who are only trying to give him the info he is asking for ...

... as for being constructive, try using a spell checker next time champ and lets keep the expletives to a minimum.

Jimbo what are you on about mate??

First of all you came on this thread and told me to chill without knowing what went on.. There was a very unnecessary post put up which was taken down by a moderator... Thats why i was a little angry, cause my question got made into a joke...

I need and want info... and if you look at all my posts im thankful to people that give it to me...

And also what "expletives" are you talking about?

I wanna hear what you have to say Jimbo, cause u also have a series 2... i just dont take to people very well when they start to patronize me...

If threads are removed or edited by a mod, edit your posts accordingly. You can understand how someone viewing the thread for the first time would be confused if they only saw you attacking someone for no good reason (due to the post being removed).

As for expletives you may wish to direct your attention to the post I was replying to which was Sik's, not your own.

/insert waiver - no patronizm intended.

Is there any other information you're after at the moment ?

Actually jimbo i wasnt attacking anyone in the thread, i was pointing out the fact that my question was simple, and it was turned into a joke.... Therefore i think your wrong when u say i was "attacking" someone...

im new to this forum, so i didnt even realise the post was taken away... Therefore i didnt know wether to edit mine. i guess out of all the guys in the forum, u took it upon your self to assume im in the wrong and for me to take a "chill pill"..

Also when people say for no reason, quote - "Mac does seem to have a bit of an attitude, even towards people who are only trying to give him the info he is asking for ". It doesnt sit very well with me. Cause it is completely wrong. I thank people all the time who have helped me..

I dont have any questions atm.

cheers anyway...
