I bought some tyres there. They are indeed the rudest bunch of people I've bought anything from.

Also the wheel balancing job they did was so bad it would have been better not to have bothered. When I took them back to get rebalanced they did do it - at least it looked like they did - but the problem was still there. They were very unhappy that I asked them to do it again and blamed other things wrong with my car.

I took them somewhere else, paid for them to be rebalanced again. No further problems.

In my books, you get what you pay for....

You want cheap tyres and rims... you get shithouse service...

You want good service, people that look after you, take care of your car, good to have a laugh with then you dont pay bottom of the barrel. Ive got my tyre place sorted, would never go anywhere else, they have looked after all of my cars, touched up wheel alignments if needed, specially ordered tyres, always fit me in and more... very happy

that really sucks mate. Such a tough situation, and really nothing he could do. Poor guy must feel awfull. I've had some shit house service there once and they were quite rude to my girlfriend. So next time I went back and gave them a piece of my mind.

Ed - you are right of course.

omg i cant believe i actually heard somone say this! if only the women would admit it too

hahahaha

but in all honesty if you wanted cheap rims then go there, they can do it so cheap because they move so much, id just be taking them elsewhere for balancing, tyres, and fitting

well yeah, I just told them that their service was rubbish, that the clown didn't even know where my wheel was, and that he was rude to my girlfriend after she drove all the way there to pick-up a wheel they didn't even have. mr big man was suddenly very apologetic and said he would take another $50 off anything i bought there in the future. needless to say I haven't been back.

I've posted this a long time ago:

service is rubbish, price is unbeatable.

mmmm they aren't too bright..

While picking out my wheels I go those volk gtc copies look nice, the guy just gave me the blankest expression.. like, "what do you mean copies ?"

But yea.. that's about it... they were pretty good to me..

Very interesting read...I guess you get what you pay for - still can't believe there's people making a business out of treating people like this!!!

Well, my friend just bought some rims from Eagle Tyres @ Granville...No complaints with their service, it was actually really good...She paid $1900 for her package - seemed pretty competitive...Would highly recommend them to anyone...

Thanks for the info regarding spitting being an offence, I'll pass it on. I haven't spoken to him since when it happened, not sure if he has reported it to Police or Fair Trading.

As I've replied in a few pms, I appreciate that there should be a majority of customers that are satisfied or they would have to cease operation due lack of business. I was just appalled by the way they treated a customer - there's the old proverb about that which you do unto the least of my brothers...

To Nick and the other guys that said yeah great price, poor service: Fair point, however to me poor service is to not use a paper floormat and seat cover when moving my car. En masse shouting and jeering at a customer because he is concerned about accepting the make good offer and coming up short is not poor service, it's about as low as you can go.

Cheers for the support guys. I'm keen to take my business to places that look after you, like UAS and CRD, and starve the deadbeat companies out work.

Unfortunetly it'd be virutally impossible to starve them out of business, cause Ricers and those that don't know any better think they're the shiz....

Maybe we need "anti" bumber stickers

Being a Newcastle lad, I take mine to Tyrepower up here in Warners Bay. I've never gotten anything but a cheap price, and the guy who does my alignments is that fussy that he once insisted that I bought it back the next day so he could fix it for free. I saw or felt nothing wrong with it

But who am I to disagree with a perfectionist.

Hmm I have gotten 2 sets of rims from them and got my rear guards rolled there as well..

Service seemed to be fine and when I scratched both rims on the left side of the car

(scrapped gutter whilst driving when I was in no condition to drive and no I wasnt drunk :D)

I payed $150 per rim for them to replace with a BRAND NEW wheel of the same kind.

But I can see where people are coming from with their service...but its been ok for me.

I've bought a couple of sets of tyres off them (their wheels aren't my thing).

These days I try to borrow a mate's beat-up old van and pick the tyres up, to be fitted elsewhere. They couldn't balance a wheel or align the suspension to save their lives, so I don't want to get browbeaten into paying them to do something I know they can't do adequately.

The other problem is they lie. You ask them if they got tyres in a certain size and they'll say yes, but if you show up there's no guarantee they will have them.

The tyres are shit cheap, which is the only reason why I go.

    • Hey all, I'm Gaston from Sydney's West.  I was a member on here when I was a younger lad and owned a mint R33 GTS-T. Ended up selling it and getting married having kids (yadda yadda) we all know how the story goes. Now I'm back with the intention to get my midlife crisis (dream) car ... a R35 GTR.  You'll see me about asking questions and searching the forums. Good to be back and can't wait to get back an Import again.
    • I have to put something here in order to post the photos. From what I could gather there's more enthusiasm for modified cars now than there has been for years. There were probably more younger people there than older (me included lol) which was a good sign.  It did seem like the record least amount of representation of the 90's era hero cars on display though. Like maybe one or two examples of S-chassis Nissans, and maybe 3 or 4 R-chassis. By comparison there were a lot of Civics from that era but in all there were about 10 - 12 EG/EK Civic Type R.  Euro exotics are always there in large numbers, led by Liberty Walk...... say what you will about kids using markers to scribble on a Ferrari F40, it did seem like a stunt to infuriate Ferrari enthusiasts, or Ferrari itself. I wonder if there's something more to it. Either way LBWK have done some heinous things to a Lamborghini Miura this time. They should stop now.
    • Engines and drivelines are not war stoppers for me mate, busted arse bodies and un-obtainium parts and panels are though Both cheap Brumbies I looked at had trashed tubs and a fair bit of rust
    • Stock O2 sensors are narrowband. They're useless once you're away from stoich. IE, useless for what you're trying to do. 10:1 will read the same as 14:1 from the stock O2 sensors. That is, they'll read rich. The same level of rich.
