Attesa Surging

Hi guys have a small problem with my Attesa on R34 GTR

Some times when i start up, the Attessa faults and goes into 2wd, can be lots of fun but other times it starts up in 4wd then the car surges when driving. Not a nice feeling, when it surges it has high front torque readings

Does any one know where to find the diagnosis for the Attesa system

Well guys after some investigation i found it to be caused by the new tyres being fitted to the rear of the car

this was causing the ATTESA to beleive that the rear wheels were slipping and would give more front drive

Just in case some on looks this up atr a later date

What was the size difference between the front and rear tires??

The difference doesn't matter - only has to be out by a few mm... and hey presto, instant 'wheelspin'

If you hadn't have said it 'sometimes starts in 2wd mode', I would have have said unequal tyre sizes...

Not nessisarily true,

I have several GTR's running very different tire sizes and only one of them has this issue.

the VDC system on our Z picks up tread depth diffenernce however im yet to find a GTR thats this picky.

Im running 255/45's and 255/40's on one car with no issues, and another 34 GTR with 265/40's and 265/45's again without any problems.

Only reason tire sizes are different is they all come off different cars in pairs and make do as street tires.

The issue is "rolling diameter" the wheels tyres can be any size (within reason;-) as long as the rolling dia of each wheel is the same.

What was the size difference between the front and rear tires??

The tyres were the same size just the fronts were worn 2 limits, so the new tyres were on back so the plod couldnt see them. since moving them arround no probs at all.
