VDO boost gauge

Hey guys,

Ive been throwing around ideas to get a boost gauge, and im pretty certain that ill get the VDO white faced 2 1/16th gauge (****pit Vision)

I used the search function and found that a few people are using these gauges without trouble.

Just wonderin everyone elses thoughts.

Do a search on Autospeed.com for

They tested swags of 'em & the VDO was one of the more inaccurate models...Autometer was a shocker too.

From memory the Pricol gauge was very good & reasonably priced.

Cheers, Yeh i cant acces that article cos its for members only, hence i can only see the first page.

If someone could just post the results and inaccuracies (hence no plagerism) that would be greatly appreciated.

i did a bit of research into this recently and found in the local products range splitfire and VDO werent great, autometer was the best. but probably not as good as all the jap-brand stuff yet $200 cheaper

That's really strange. I spoke to my local instrument shop and they love VDO. They said their gauges are 2nd to none. They also bagged out Autometer.

What about GREDDY? I have a GREDDY Boost Gauge and Oil Press in BAR, and they look quite consistent.

I had the car dynoed and there was a variance of around 0.05-0.1 bar between the dynometer and my boost gauge.
