Hey, thanks. S2 sedans are definately the go. I actually had a silver one but lost that in a separation. When I sold my GTR I just had to have another one, the extra 2 doors and the extra boot space in the S2 sedan can't be beaten! I love the rims on your car, the rears look huge!

Mods are centred around suspension mainly for my track work -

Sydneykids' group buy bilstein shocks, whiteline springs, pineapples and adjustable swaybars

Cusco adj rear camber arm, adj caster rods, tension rod and 1-way diff

Nismo front strut with brake cyliner stopper

Hawke Pads front and rear

DBA slotted 4000 series front rotors

Road rims - Nismo LM GT2 rims 17x8, 17x9

Track rims - Volk Racing GTP 17x8, 17x9

turbotech boost controller set to 10psi

100mm thick SMIC with custom shroud

13 row oil cooler

K&N panel filter

CES front pipe, 3" metal cat and kakimoto cat back

and a set of Bride reclinables on the way.

Sounds awesome, ill look into SK's group buy when i get more money. What are the hawke pads worth if u dont mind asking, im after a good set of pads that will handle track work. the LM GT2 rims really make it look tough. Love your work, keep it up. hope mine can be as good as yours one day

I am pretty sure it was a little over $200 for the front and a little under $200 for the rear?? Hard to remember though, it was a while ago that I got them. I had the same pads on the GTR and they were magic. Have to bed them in really well though, otherwise they squeal like a banshee!

Highly recommend SK's group buy, have messed around with coilovers and different spring rates on GTSTs and GTRs before but this set from SK is really nice package for road and a bit of track work, really handles bumps and uneven road extremely well. Can't speak highy enough of it. And the price can't be beaten for what you are getting.

tough looking car jlnewton. have you considered getting coupe headlights?

anyway here's some pics of mine before i started returning it to stock to sell.

Thanks, nice GTR. Brings back painful memories of seeing mine go. . . . .

I have thought about the coupe headlights, it will happen one day. Just not a priority atm, a lot of $s for a cosmetic thing. At least they aren't as expensive as those xenons on your car, I looked into upgrading mine on the GTR when I had it as mine was only a series 2 not 3. . . . . I nearly fell over. . . . . >_<

Same car and rims as mine, only mines black....are your wheels 17 or 18"?

Really need to get the front lip on mine

They are 17s. the ultra light wheels.

Yer i love the standered series 2 front and the lip reali finishes it off... now for side skirts n a rear bumper... lol

What website is NS.com?

yer i kno i was going to change the rims until i looked through the reciepts and saw $4000+ wid tyres! i thought wow mayb i lik them now! haha.

do u have any pics of ur car showing the rear pods?

Edited by Adz2332

they're very subtle.

The other factory option pods on the GTR extend around the rear of the bumper a bit, where as these just kind of pump the side of the rear....I like these better than the wrap around style

NS.com is nissansilvia.com....a forum like this one but more about silvias than skylines obviously....one of the traders on there has a listing for the AVS T6 wheels...17's from $3400, 18's from $3700....so that puts my wheels at a minimum of $3700 + tyres....I never knew they were so expensive :)

I'll be finishing off the complete whiteline suspension kit as soon as the bilstein shocks are back in production (it's already got everything else, sway bars camber/caster etc) Not sure on ride height yet...don't want anything ridiculous

    • My stuff is all with Shannon's, granted, I don't really have imports I'm driving on the road, however, I've had multiple cars at the same time with them. Presently we have the Landcruiser on laid up cover, Sarah's Kluger on full cover, and the house insured. About 18 months ago Sarah wrote her Subaru Liberty GTB off, insured with Shannon's, and the payout, and buy back of the wreck was super quick. In 2020 we had the VF Commodore totalled in a major hailstorm. Storm was on the Saturday, I called on the Sunday and lodged it, vehicle was towed on Tuesday night, assessment team called on Wednesday to say it was a total loss and get payout details, money was in the bank on Thursday morning. Have had a few other claims both at fault, and not at fault, over the years, and never had an issue with them.   Funnily enough, they're also the cheapest insurer I find for things like Sarah's Kluger.   I will say I'm less impressed dealing with them lately around "the experience", as a lot of their staff that you deal with aren't car enthusiasts. Shannon's has a much more main stream feel ever since they decided to become "big corporate", laid a heap of staff off, and then hired a bunch of non enthusiasts. At the same time they've been making a push to be less "call us and we'll personally have someone who cares help" to "hey, this computer can do stuff for you" and are trying to get more square pegs to fit round holes. (That's just the vibe I get from them). Again, have had no issues with claims with them, but get a bit of a "less personal" feel from them.
    • A thing I wasn’t happy with with enthusiast was during the initial phone call they told me they’d insure it for 130k but needed photos.   I then sent them photos and they told me $80k as there were other cars either similar modifications available for around that price, I told them to send me the links to said cars so that I can buy them. i then sent the modification list with prices of the parts (no labor) and the price then came to 115k, which is still shy of the 130 that was agreed in the initial phone call
    • Ask me a bit later this week before payday
    • I agree that delayed payment probably isn't the most suitable solution. It seems a solid complete transaction would be best. As I wouldn't be using this sale as a line of credit that would typically earn interest, we can probably arrange a much cleaner single transaction deal. I can do $92.52 today. Would you prefer EFT, or Cash on Pickup?  😛
    • Oh man what a deal.... Funny enough (well not really) I sold a car to some old dude (buying for his Daughter) on a Saturday, He asked if she could take the car now and pay me the money on Monday as the bank wasn't open. Needless to say I told them to come back with the cash or get f**ked! Luckily the money seemed to magically appear in his pocket a few minutes later, so it all ended well (for me).
