Haha, nah my offsets aint nearly that tuff!

The trick is to fit correct size tyres for the rims (235/45 and 255/40 here) and also make sure the camber isn't too negative.

They're 17 x 8 + 35 with 235/45 fronts, still at around -2 degrees camber though, and 17 x 9 + 38 with 255/40 and -0.5 degrees on the rear.

I'd prefer to have the fronts more flush too, but this setup gives me less scrub as a daily driver (even with rolled guards)

Oh, and I'd heard that Regamasters were pretty light, but I was amazed once I actually had the old rubber off them.

I didn't have any scales handy, but I reckon they'd be lucky to be 4kg per rim!

thats a massive tyre.. spose you want good traction or something

Haha, I aint no drifter. I have a spare set of Dunlop semi slicks stored under covers for special occasions!

On another note, I think we met ages back on a V.I.C. cruise to Arthurs Seat. I have Advan Tri-spokes back then.

Jap_star, love your genuine TE's... no Vaarstoen copy there!

I've just always wanted 235's and 255's to perfectly match 8's and 9's... get the same style tyre sidewall etc.

Oh, I almost forgot. How the hell do you attach a full pic like yours? All mine come out like thumbnails!

Cheers, yeah im thinking of getting rims next, i really like the TE37's haha, i like the stance you got there with your car. Whats the general consensus on sizes and offsets for a r33 without rolling the guards, kinda of a broad question but i wouldnt mind some feedback on what you think for mine.Ive been reading about staggered fitts? just unsure of the offsets really.

Cheers Josh

Well alot of people will tell you that you cant go bigger than 9.5" on the back and 8.5" on the front. But mine are 10" on the back and 9" on the front with no guard rolling (as you can see in the picture)

However, mine has a little camber from the lowered springs, and they are 17's where as most people prefer 18's

But I look at my car in pictures like this one and think 17's are enough :D

(There are 255's on the back in this pic though lol)

combo break the black cars currently running 18x10+18 on the rear 0 camber due to alignment and trying to source front rims to suit but going to test fit some in the next couple days

Not as low as it was, raised and aligned properly for a few track days. Will probably be getting them painted soon and some more changes to the car :)

    • This one isn't "on the street" per se, but it was on the street just prior to the photos being taken..... Mitsuoka Nouera, based on a CL7 Honda Accord. It was in the carpark of the Hanshin Nishinomiya train station "Ebista" shopping mall. I'd say they are very rare compared to other Mitsuoka models.
    • Do the shapes of the rice crisps really conform to the individual car model shapes or is it a bit of a stretch? I mean, do you know you're eating a BNR32 GT-R after having grabbed one from the can? 😁
    • Yeah, pure laziness My main reason for the change is the local crappy roads, car felt great going up the Mac Pass, and then back down the long way home via Jamberoo Mountain Road after ramming a sausage roll and coffee down the gullet  But as stated, good reason to head back down for a pie or sausage roll and coffee  Some nice cars turned up at the pie shop, my fave was a mint V8 Soarer coupe, the condition of it was truly awesome  Edit: plus to adjust the dampening I need to remove the OEM front strut brace, because it covers them, and remove some of the rear boot trim, I did have my little tool kit with everything required to do it with me, but, yeah, laziness
    • Any reason you didn't, like... change it while at the Pie shop so you could compare them on the way back? (all the more reason to go for another drive I suppose)
    • After a lovely little cruise up Mac Pass into Robertson pie shop on the weekend, and all the daily driving on our crappy roads, I decided to soften up the dampers a bit I've gone from 13 clicks from full soft to 9 clicks on the front, and from 8 clicks full soft to 4 clicks on the rear Whilst the car did handle great before, on smooth roads, it was a little bit harsh on pot holes and joins in the road, but only in the rear Also, my uneducated assumption is you need more dampening in the front compared to the rear, hence the front is set a little harder by 5  Will this help the budget spec BC RS coilovers on bumpy roads, I'm hopeful.....
