i'm off to regency for same to low, eyebrow height ok. muffler 2cms to low. what a joke. look at the pieces of crap driving around and you get defected for car being to low. take the real unsafe cars off road!

I can understand the laws about being too low but i also agree theres some seriously crap cars driving around that police dont even look twice at.

Surely there more of a danger risk than a sacked out rwd turbo skyline.

With an attitude like that i'm not surprised your car now has two defect notices.

You showed them who's boss???????????

How?

For the 5mins of bs lip you talked they served you with a 2nd defect notice that now you have to sort and take it back to clear. If i was the cop and had you come back to me, i would simply find another defect to put you in your place.

We all know the laws exist, so why have a cry when you get pinned for them. You play the game and roll the dice, your number is bound to come up sooner or later. If you can't deal with it, then keep the car 100% street legal.

obviously im not going to go off at a cop if he isn't defecting me , but seeing as he was i have the right to question it , which i DID to the point where he was getting smart with me so i

gave it back to him.

i put him back in his place after some smart arse comments he made AFTER defecting me for ride height.

neither defects had anything to with what i said and you obviously dont know the story 100%.

the only reason i got a 2nd defect is because my car was "low" and he is on a power trip and admitted he HATES imports.

so before you get worked up about it, step back from the keyboard and maybe PM me and ask me the full story.

Bonnet was bought through Unique Autosports about four years ago, unfortunately they can't get them anymore.

If you really want one I've seen them on Yahoo auctions.

The only reason I'm getting rid of my brakes is that I got my hands on a complete front/rear V8 supercar Alcon setup.

Unfortunately the current brakes are sold. New setup is going on in the next few weeks...

Very neat car you have!! Those Autoselect canards are a nice bit of gear. What rims are those? Volk TE37 top secret edition?? Is the car registered?

Yeah you sure showed him. You're not doing yourself any favors... if that cop see's you driving around again he'll probably make it his business to pull you over. At the end of the day, you're just digging your own grave being a smartass to cops. I can understand the urge to do it to the ones that are being unreasonable but you just have to bite your tongue...

so how do you get off a double defect? do you have to pay to get rid of both or is it the same price as paying to get off one.

Dnt know how it works in aussie lol we jst get green stickered in NZ an have to pay for an extensive wof

well considering one is minor and one is major id assume i just take it through as a major but obviously with the minor defects fixed.

not sure of the price , think its around $200 for inspection

      It's the adhesive holding the ceramic wheel to the shaft the fails on 90% of them.

      Foreign debris, physical shock, boost leak, could be anything honestly. The danger in taking all the timing out of a tune/hitting the R&R corner is that even if the engine doesn't detonate your turbo is taking a lot of abuse from high EGT. Also, even if nothing goes wrong it is a journal bearing that is spinning at 100k RPM on boost. Eventually it goes through enough cold start/pressure cycles to wear it out.

      I kinda accidentally saw this, and was interested, but It actually seems to replaces the whole center computer, using the existing screen and buttons. AND it may only be for a G37 and not compatible with a Japanese 370. So its not for me, but someone else may be interested to look into it. Its about $680USD. If I am understanding it right, it basically replaces/installs and android pc that integrates with the existing screen.       I’m with Shannon’s for all 5 of our cars. Agreed values seem fair, premium price is okay. ($210 ish a month, all comprehensive).  Have claimed once with them for a not at fault claim with another car where my car had no damage. Was one call after the incident and an email after. Deemed not at fault so premium didn’t go up either.    I have called up and spoken with people who are not familiar with certain cars and didn’t agree with me on value or let their personal vehicle preferences effect the call. But called back later and got someone else who was more agreeable.
