1 of the local exhaust shops is changing hands on monday, so i will have to pull my finger out and get some piping between now and then. my father-in-law works next door to it, and the i did some work for the current owner, so i will be able to get it dirt cheap. anyone know what size piping to get. i'm too lazy to pop the bonnet and see (since the car is also at home and i'm at work)

I agree with Busky2k here.

The intake pipe and the air filter are the same in diameter, so how you can say that the intake pipe is restrictive when it is ... well.. just a pipe.

The only reason i see it crushing in on itself is because you are reaching such high flow levels that even the best filters become restrictive, at which point you need to get a hardpipe so that the air is FORCED to be sucked into the engine.
