Trading My R34 Auto For Manual

The price of 34's have dropped so much in the past 6 months.. my rego has almost expired and i'm considering trading my auto 34 gt-t for a manual. My car is completely stock, except for a kenwood LCD head-unit, clean car. 90k klms.

I've seen some good manual 34's with exhaust, FMIC plus other mods for around 26 - 27k. How much do you reckon i cud get for my car in a trade-in? How hard is it to get a dealer to reduce their advertised price? or do they usually not budge?

If you are in Sydney go to SSPI in sutherland, they have a very nice ( stock) manual 34 for sale , they may trade your auto wit some$.

yeah its a sad state when u see the prices drop to what they are today compared to a year ago. I tried asking an import dealer what mine was worth as a trade a couple months back and they offered me 15K max..(99 GTT Auto with around 70ks).

They would obviously try and flog it for 25k if they got it and make a tidy profit. Try selling privately if you're not desperate, you won't lose as much.

I'm not worried about losing my car. When i first got my car it was a real bargain.. that's why i got the auto but i think now it's not worth converting. Rego for me will cost close to $1000 (my CTP is like 560) and i was planning an exhaust for another 1000. I've always wanted a manual so if i had to trade i wouldn't mind paying up to 5k on top. There are some real bargains with some basic mods already done.

you will be lucky to get 20k if 2 door , 2-3k less if 4 door
