RB20_ZED
This was connected between my blow off valve and intake manifold in the middle of 2 vacuum hoses - it looks like its all melted etc and i think it was causing problems with the blow off valve coz it was only working sometimes... anyway ive connected a vaccum hose up without this and everything seems fine now - so just wanna know if anyone knows what it is? and do i need to have it connected for any reason??? thanks. WazR32GTSt
i have no idea what it is! but unlesss you have tapped a hose into this vaccum line there's no need for anything there.. leave it out and your car will be as a stock one.. Botters
I Got a very similar thing with my New GReddy Profec and it tells me that its a filter. On my boost controller it Filters the Fuel Pressure to sence boost pressure for the Unit Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/130812-who-knows-what-this-is/#findComment-2421068 Share on other sites
Rudager
I got sometihng like that on my SSQV, figured it was jsut a reducer since the "nipple" thing on one side is larger than the other. Mitchee
Its a filter. Commonly used on EBCs to prevent vapours from entering the unit and f*cking the map sensor up. The only reason I could see it being used on a BOV would be for the same purpose, keep vapours from going into the end and turning into liquid - possibly f**king the operation of it? Personally I dont think a BOV needs it, definately a plus for anything electronic thats getting a pressure signal though.. vapours are bad! The Dan
It is a one way valve. That is all. They could have incorporated soe type of filtering device into it but you should find that you can blow through it but not suck. mad082
why would you have a 1 way valve on a bov hose? that would make it either stay permanently closed, or make it leak something shocking.
