According to the workshop manual:

Try with temp sensor disconnected

Check temp sensor resistance value - 0.3k ohms @ 80C

Check temp sensor output voltage - (pin 1 to earth) 1V @ 80C

Check fuel pressure - remove vacuum hose from regulator, or clamp return line.

Cranking speed OK?

Yeah i tried that and it was OK as per the manual. So i thought about this and i tried it(MY OLD MAN SHOWED ME THIS A FEW YEARS AGO ).I just tried to adjust the timing going on idle smoothness and speed and found a point where it idled really smooth( a fair bit retarded compared to where it was) at around 800rpm or so and now it starts really well.I didnt check it with the timing light but i did get a few mechanics to check the timing before i did what i did and all said it was fine how i set it using a timing light.strange ah :)
