as the topic suggests guys im not going to be going past 200kw so just a quick questions as to which would be better bang for ur buck the just jap intercoolers or the hybrid ones...will there be any difference between the 2 interms of power gain or responce etc ?

basically just wondering if i would get a more noticeable power gain out of either one

i'd stick to the big brands bro then atleast u no u have good quality and it has proven power gains like the blitz coolers...

yeh fair enough but hmm the other guy said there would be no power gain i thought coolers meant colder denser air so extra power ?????????? pls explainnnn lol

You wont get a power increase *generally* speaking unless you increase boost, ECU, exhaust etc etc aswell.

Just changing the I/C on a stock setup will yield no gain.

As i said, if your keeping the stock turbo, dont even bother with some branded Jap kit.

Absolutely overpriced for the application

yeah when I started I wa sonly aiming for 200rwkw...lol that didn't last long.

I use the GKtech kit for that reason and found it good for much more power...for the price and ur application I can't see you going wrong with that.

also as suggested, no point unless ur going to up the boost to what 10psi with the stockie...then its at its limit also...need a turbo upgrade...lol then the list goes on..

The Just Jap coolers have been in use for some time on cars pushing well over 300kw at the wheels without a problem.

Hybrid is nothing but a name, their intercoolers are essentially the same as the Just Jap bar and plate coolers.

Paying more for a Blitz intercooler for this application is a waste of money, especially when having such a conservative power target at 200kw.
