Hey Guys,

As most of you know there is a GB going for Z32 AFM`s pretty decent price i might add, and then i noticed someone asked the question wether you need a full stand alone ecu. The person running the GB then answered saying yes you will need a stand alon ecu.

I was under the imppression that you could use piggy back system.

So my question is will i need a Full Stand Alone ECU to run a Z32 AFM on my car?

Now im pretty sure that Tangles has a Z32 afm on his stag so if you could please help me out that would be great.

Cheers Simon

Z32 afm all wired up - running a SAFCII.

Yes, I do believe you'll need an "aftermarket ecu" such as a piggyback unit, however this *may not be the case and you may be able to use a z32afm with the standard ecu (probably hit R&R tho)..... Im sure more experienced pro's in the forced inductiuon section might be able to shed some further light on this, tho.

flysly, if you are using the standard turbo, i doubt you will run out of resolution on the standard AFM. also i noticed you have a sard FPR which also shouldn't be necessary until you upgrade the turbo and need to squeeze a little extra flow out of the standard injectors.

you can probably save a few $$'s there alone with no loss in performance.

Im using the high flow turbo, and im wanting around 220awkw,

I figure there is no point me passing up good products for good prices when im going to need them in the end anyway.

But thanks for the advice.

Im not running the sard fpr yet but i will be

I did - was maxxing the afm at the 140awkw tune, although that was when I only had a catback system so that might have ahd something to do with it. changed to a z32 afm when I had the full zaust put on, fmic, fuelpump, and the sitc tuned.

I recieved my Z32 during the week, i will be hitting the dyno just for fun next sat to see what she will pull with the: Hi-Flow Turbo, FMIC, 3" Turbo back exhaust and High Flow Apexi Panel Filter, standard boost.

After that i will start bolting everything else on i have, but im finding it very bloody hard to find an SITC.

Damn that is cheap, oh well still sounds like a got it at a reasonable price.

And considering that they are near impossible to get, ive been searching ebay ever since i got my stag and have only seen one other on there for sale.
