Idle From 500rpm To 1200rpm - R33

As title says, car will be running fine then when i stop at the lights it sits at 700rpm then drops to 500rpm then just starts bouncing till i rev it..

Any ideas??

Do a search for 'hunting' - reasonably common problem, I have had it - turns out it was to do with the air conditioning, but not before I cleaned the afm, aac valve, throttle body, changed the tps, o2 sensor... there are several topics and a few tutorials on the subject, so search away, and good luck

check for a vacuum leak in the inlet plumbing.

had the same problem, bro took it in2 nissan for me, it was a tiny screw that you adjust the idle control, its located on the inlet manifold/throttle body or somewhere around there

try playing around with it, mine sits of 700RPM perfectly now

try cleaning the AAC valve, have you got a gtr or gts?

Im going to go play with the Idle now.

Im still yet to clean the AAC Valve.

Had a similar problem not as sevre, cleaning the AFM fixed it up for me

Took it for abit of a drive after I fixed the idle and it goes abit better Buttt nowwww I noticed a hose has split off, I think it may be like an oil line or like a oil breathing line on top of the block, its pretty fat, its on the front of the block the right one is snapped of but the left one is fine. I put my finger over it and it was like a vacuum but didn’t change the idle ill get a new line on the weekend, nothing seems to be leaking out of it though???

aac sort of corrected it for me, stopped hunting but now when i stop it may sit @ 1k for a few seconds then drop to 700
