Car is a street-registered 180b datsun. Aim is for fastest 1/4 possible on street tyres. Car has fj20 with about 400rwhp with another engine getting built for more power.

I have modified the read end so it sits at 0 degrees camber with 9inch rims at the back which has currently 255s. They are 17 40s.

(1) Should have I just run a 13 inch rim with a 225 street drag tyre with high profile??? High profile seems to make straigth line performance great.

(2) If I keep these 9inch rims and go to a MT street drag radial tyre which is what I want to do, do i keep the 255 or should I move onto 275?

Any other info appreciated without input about suspension as thats another story.

Cheers

Thats what I thought doug,

I really want to get this sorted before i get this car back onto the road and head for the strip.

Any suggestions into tyre sizes please, rim size and what tyre (street-legal)

Thanks

I WOULD BE GOING FOR A SMALLER RIM WITH

A TALLER TYRE MATE, SO THE TYRE CAN MOVE A BIT

AND HELP PUT THE POWER DOWN. LOW PROFILE TYRES

WILL GIVE LESS GRIP BECAUSE THE TYRE IS TOO STIFF

IN THE SIDE WALLS
