CATKICKER
Hi Guys, I am having a little issue with my idle still. I have replaced my O2 sensor, cleaned and resoldered my AFM, Cleaned my ACC Valve and reset my ECU. The problem is that it idles at 1500-2000rpm for about 5secs and then drops down to normal! It is an RB20det in an R32 GTS-t. I have quite a few mods but don't think that is relevent at this stage. Resetting the ECU has fixed the problem before but it came back the other day after a big drive (400KM). I am happy to reset it again, but I am guessing it will continue to occur and due to it fixing itself after a reset it should be electrical and I think it would be worth checking the ECU for error codes and might be able to narrow it down. I have had a look but I have not found anything conclusive. Can someone instruct me how to check for codes (is it a light that flashes a certain number of times and that number corresponds with a particular fault?) and could someone post up a list of the codes and their meanings? Any other help would be great!! I have also read about a consult cable that connects to your notebook... This could be good, would this be a better option? If I am able to get all the info it could be an idea to add it to the FAQ sticky. Thanks guys!! CATKICKER
The problem happens ALL the time. Not just when cold or first starting. I can drive solid for an hour and stop at the lights and it will idle at 1500-2000rpm. This is most anoying when in traffic and you are bumping along at low revs but every time you put your foot on the clutch it jumps up.
