After alot of reading I still have some questions, I have a R30 skyline with a Rb25det making 330kw at the wheels. I would rather a manualised auto for daily and drag use. Whats my options id rather a nissan box, not sure where to start.

Ur options as far as Nissan boxes go are:

Re4r01a (gtst box)

Re4r03a (300zx box stronger then 01a)

3 speed jatco (strongest of all the "Nissan" boxes)

Other boxes (although more then likely overkill)

Th400

C4

Powerglide (do not use a glide for a street car)

Research is half the fun with autos get googling

Not saying it's a good idea (personally I reckon it'd be a bitch on fuel, plus no fun to drive) but from memory there's a QLD GTST, and one from Vic running powerglide transmissions. Both are daily driven. Not sure if there's any info on SAU, but could be worth a look.

What fully manualized auto options are out there with 4wd adaptors, I have a 260rs stagea, weight about 1650kgs

Re4ro3a built up can be supplied with a 4Wd adapter, that would be the most civilised if you can get a nice size lock up converter,

or glides and TH400's can be made with a 4WD adapter aswell, if you went all out..

cheers

I have a B@M cooler with a thermo fan on my stagea in the guard, i also have another davies craig trans cooler behind the intercooler

that it goes through first, then goes to b@M, then returns to trans

cheers

What trans temp does it run at...?

I am using a 30row engine oil cooler for mine. Trans temp hasnt gone above 60degrees while having some spirited driving.

Where's your sensor mounted Rob?

I have a 30 row on my trans also, I still see 80+ coming out of the converter, before the cooler. Obviously after the cooler is much lower. I wonder how much difference there is compared to at the the sump?
