Hi all,

Just obtained a set of Tein Super Street Damper with Pillowball Uppermounts (Part No. GSN62-B1SS3).

The set is brand new and comes from the factory with a preset adjustment to height and damping. My queries are:-

1) What are the factory setting?

2) What settings are best for normal + enthusiatic street use?

3) What settings are more suited to track usage?

Thanks in advance for your comments and replies. :(

I'd like to know tht too....have had mine in for close to a mth now...played around with height adjustment and damper settings...but want to know what are the ideal settings for street use.

I've got my height at 350 front and 340 rear.

The teins come with 16 levels of damper adjustment but why does the knob turn 26 times from left to right, right to left???

n15m0, yea the rear turns 30 times and front 26 times. Weird, dunno how it adds up to 16 levels of adjustment.

I adjusted mine to 20 clicks at the rear and 17 up front.

As for height I leave it as factory present. I understood that is the best recommended setting.

It goes past 16 clicks, but after 16 clicks it doesnt change the damper setting.

I confirmed this with Fulcrum, it will just click but it wont get any softer.

Tein recommended 345mm all round, and 12 clicks from the hardest (so the 4th softest setting)

I've got mine on 345mm all around and 4th softest and front, 6 softest in rear to try and control the springs more.

nuffsaid, 345mm all round is it the pre-set setting from the factory? I did not adjust the height. Just bolted it on from the box.

As for damping, you mentioned 12 clicks from the hardest setting. All round, as in front and rear?

That means mine is Front 9 clicks from the hardest (17 from the max soft) and Rear is 10 clicks from the hardest (20 clicks from the softest).

How's this setting in your opinion?

Interesting...tried the settings this just before...kinda made a diff...*I think* :D

345mm hmmm...wouldn't that make the front lower than the rears as the rear guard is lower than the fronts?

Mine is now set at 350 fronts and 340 rears which is marginally lower than SK's recommended settings. Wheel allignment done and is sitting at around -1.5 all round...which according to SK again will require one camber kit on the front and one on the rear.

8110 - Had a read of your blog...very interesting...I'm from M'sia too! :) I wonder how much ER34s cost back home???
