Its getting to that time of the year when exams are not too far off.

Jus letting pple know that I tutor for year 11 and 12's in General Maths, Maths Methods and Specialist Maths.

So if u need a tutor or know ne1 that does jus shoot us a PM.

I operate from SE suburbs and I come to ur house. I usually dont go outside the boundaries of Springvale rd, South rd, CBD and Eastern Freeway, but just ask if ur not sure. Can also do northern suburbs for set time periods (ie straight afta uni) but it would have to be reasonable travelling distance by public transport from Melb UNI.

I usually charge $35 per hour but i can do $30 for members, paying and non-paying.

Thanx guys

If u wanna check my credentials i've been tutoring for 4 years now (12 students in all), and my raw scores in maths were:

Methods: 46

Specialist: 45

Currently 4th year Engineering/Commerce student

Everything is obligation free so give us a try

45 specialist? so that was marked up from like 2? :P joking...

that's an awesome score for specialist, and methods. Finished uni last year, so i'm sorry, don't need a tutor.

"this man can multiply any two numbers in his head, instantly"

"five times nine!"

"45"

"wow..."

:P

When I did it, mark up was 15%... I was pretty angry, LOTE was marked up 20%. I wouldn't have dropped it if I know that.

It got me into the uni course I wanted, cool, good enough.

its not a percentage for the new VCE or whatever its called.

Its a scaled grading.

That was my biggest gripe in school :(

But then, i can tutor you :P

I can teach you to get a 75 TER or whatever it is and still party every weekend and 2 nights a week... all without studying heheh :P

I was a hopeless student

$35 an hour? Sh1t, if anyone needs a physics, maths, or Engineering science tutoring then im your man... :)

Be a good little side earner at ngiht and a weekend!

Actually, Most charge between 40 and 50 these days.

BTW, i can also do two students at a time from $40 an hour ($20 each) so theres quite a big saving if u bring a freind along and I tutor both of you at the same time. (for the same subject).

Also, there is a $5 discount per hour after the first hour (forgot to mention that) if u decide togo for 2 or 3 hours. Most pple only go for 1 hour tho

The guy that tutored me for physics charged $50

On the other hand, the guy that tutored me for chemistry charged me $20

Physics i got an A+ for the second CAT, chemistry i got a B+ for the second CAT

Perhaps like buying a car, with tutors you get what you pay for as well :)

For all those that have taken a tutor while they were in school, mind if you post up their details? Wouldn't mind a few tips in order to get decent ENTERS. I'm hoping to get myself into the Auto Engineering course at RMIT.

Just work hard.. I know it's harder than it sounds but I honestly think the high grades in year 12 comes down to how motivated and focused you can be. If you can discipline yourself to keep your head down I think you should be fine. I mean, a tutor will probably be great if your having difficulties and all but at the end of the day you still have to put it into action.......

anyway, fatherly rant over.
