Obviously an SAFC isn't going to fix fuel cut as it DOESN'T EXIST.

If you are refering to the SAFC lowering the AFM voltage to the ECU such that the ECU doesn't go to R&R Mapping, then you need to have the SAFC tuned some more.

:P cheers :P

hot4s installed a turbosmart fuel cut defended or something of the like on one of the staffs modified r33's from memory they used autostyle or someone like that ...

it fixed the the dip in the power curve at top end (the rich and retard thingy) ... it works like SK said clamps the afm voltage between certain revs so the ecu stays happy :P

worth a call to turbosmart to get the goss ...

ive got a turbosmart fuel cut defender in my r33 aswell and it still cuts out, i think the only wayaround it is to get an after market computer and that way there are no fuel cut or speed cut to worry about, the only thing is having the cash to get it dyno tuned and the computer mapped. :P

    • Realised I never posted this , also I never got a price
    • I'm glad to hear you've joined the SKI club. Spend the Kids Inheritance.
    • I have a VALCON if anyone wants it, I have no idea why you'd want to have VVT specifically broken out of the ECU as opposed to running it off the FCON/whatever standalone you have.
    • Hi Yes we're a bit optimistic we might get something out of sealing up the two pipes of the external wastegate and reactivating the stock one. I believe the orginal stock wastegate was tack welded shut. It doesn't budge and visually looks closed and sealed. The car has noticeably more lag so it could be at least part of the problem, maybe all. It's definately one of the key changes made since last tune. And it's one that's more difficult to fully understand and measure, not like for instance timing or cylinder compression.  Thanks for that feedback, we'll let you know how this progresses. Fingers crossed.   Regards Rob
