help! i cant read JAP!

Hi guys and girls!

I noticed on my friends 94 gtst that he has a sticker that reads -

100,000km/(and some jap word)

does anyone know what this means??? obviously i cant understand the jap word next to the 100,000km/------------

if you dont know, then plz dont guess, as i have already tried this!

guess: is the sticker on the engine cover? timing belt change is due @100,000km

ok, if it says 100,00km's and if it's @ the front of the engine bay, it is most probably the label to either remind you to change the timing belt or to say that the timing belt has been changed @ what the odo reading was when it was changed

Last two posts are correct. It's a sticker reminding you to change your timing belt when you hit 100,000kms.

Wouldn't you expect a 9 year old car to have done 10,000kms? Thats on 12000 per year, about 1/2 the Aus average......

Really it would be good to see a sticker saying the timing belt has been done - if you've got a 94 without the timing belt changed I would get it done ASAP. Mine had on 70000 on the odo when I changed the timing belt.

so lets see? a couple of guys say, its a sticker thats says the belt was changed and the car has done 100,000km and the other guys say it needs the belt changed at 100,000??

To clarify, I understand the sticker is where the workshop is meant to note the change when it happens.

My point is, 10 9 yr old car should have had a timing belt change by now, regardless of what your speedo says

yea i got a new one when i bought a new timing belt

my 31 has one of those stickers

it says it was changed at 86k

my odo say 73k (bought the car at 64)

nother 10k and it will make sense

Mine has a printed sticker stating 100k km. I changed mine last wednesday.

im so confused guys.... 50% say its to say that th belt was changed on 100,000km and 50% say its to remind u to change it at 100,000km!

Okay

From factory it has a sticker saying change it every 100,000kms. Some people put a 2nd sticker on the car indicating when it was last changed, so you can keep track of how old your timing belt is.
