cjlancer
Hi guys ive had a little accidence with a Camry 98 model and scratched the car. And he came back with 3 quotes for the repair and its $1500, $1270 and $800. IM LIKE WTF MAN its just a scratch freaken. So im here to look for a pannel beater in melb to give me a quote more reasonable. What do you guys think? Im thinking with that little bit of damage it should only cost 300-400 at max. I dont really care about quality or anything as its not my car i just want to get it fixed! Do you guys know any cheap pannel beaters around? Thanks Edited August 27, 2006 by cjlancer Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/131872-does-anyone-know-cheap-pannel-beaters-in-melbourne/ Share on other sites

ctjet
well if you respray a rear bumper yuour looking at anywhere between $300 - $500. plus if you cracked the bumper, that'll cost a bit to patch up. These costs do add up... but i do think that $1500 is a little unreasonable Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/131872-does-anyone-know-cheap-pannel-beaters-in-melbourne/#findComment-2441977 Share on other sites
mikymouse
"Yes! Bodywork" in Sunshine. They could probably do it for around $300. Bec
$800 seems reasonable for that. Someone did the same thign to my rear bumper and was about the same price for them to fix it. I assume you care about the $$ because you are not going through insurance, in which case I dont think there is much you can do except give him $800. I hit my door on another car a couple of years ago - and when I got the quote, I rang the place and said how cheap can you do it if I give you cash. The cost was halved straight away - got it in writing, gave the other car owner a call and explained what I'd done and gave her the cash. Too easy.
