Wiring ?

hey can anyone tell me what this wiring connection was originally for??

ive put a pic in the file below showing the plug im talking about

also i was wonderin if anyone could help me out with my dash lights they dont work at night n ive looked at every thing under the steering, behind the stereo???? wiring looks like its been a diy job though:(

that plug is the TPS (throttle position sensor)

as for the wiring, have you checked the fuses?

yea i checked the fuses and couldnt seem to find anything,

the diagrams all written in japanese....you dont know where i could find a fuse diagram in english for one of these do ya?

i got 1 kicking aroumd somewhere. there is also 1 om here some where.

do any lights come on when you switch the lights on?

yea i got head lights hicas light and engine lights just no parkers and dash lights ???

so the park lights dont work either?

might be a case of the bulbs hace been taken out. they are a standard park light bulb. M10, or T10 i think it is. take the dash out and make sure there are bulbs in there (unless they only just stopped working). the best bulbs to use are the phillips blue vision park light bulbs. i did a thread out them, they come up really bright.

thanks very much mate, ill have a look now i hope it is that the bulbs have been taken out... but its just that the parkers arent working either.... surely this must be somthing to do wih the wiring?? any way ill check the bulbs and if all else fails ill call in a auto eleccy.... thing is im in blackwater in the middle of nowhere and its hard trying to find someone that knows anything about these cars ....

it could be that the person before you had LED bulbs in the dash and the park lights and took them out and didn't put any bulbs back in.
