hey guys tryin to choose between 2 sets of wheels

the first is Gmax M190 which the pic doesnt show but they have major dish on them and i like the multi spoke, i have seen a set of them at my local tyre place

and the second are more of a drift style wheel but with mega dish so let me know what u think, i leanin towards the M190 coz they are a little more classy thent he drift style

anyway let me know what u think its for my new R34 coupe

If you get the first set, be prepared to spend a looooong time cleaning when you're washing them.

Ok I see your car is white....well I reckon you should dice those 2 you selected and go stealth.

Try the apache wheels from TRYDIS' suggested website...www.stgeorgetyres.com.au

I did a kwik 2 minute cut and paste for ya...wheel angles aren't right but it gives you a good indication anyway.

The gold version aint bad either!!

Drifters use so many different types of wheels on their cars, how can you classify a single style of wheel as being 'drift style'? Just like the 'drift wing'? Whatever....

For what it's worth, although the mesh would be harder to clean as has already been mentioned, they do look classier. Just promise that the offsets are suitable for RWD cars...

just out of general interest, what colour rims do you guys think would suit a gunmetal grey R33?

I was leaning towards some charcoal or black rims with polished lip?

yeah im gunna go with the m190s

they have a big dish on em 2 so i think it will look hot as, i was thinkin of goin gold but the only ones i like are the speedy one with the gold centre and crhome lip, but because of the way they are made the rear brakes wont fit in 18s so id have to get 19s and they are 550 just for a wheels each.

so fark that, but with gmax 190s, he has an over stock, so he'll do em heap as and he also sponsered me in last years auto salon with my astra SRI turbs, so i know him pritty well,

265/35/R18 rear

does it matter if the overall diameter of the front and rear tyres are different, i'm still on stock standard suspension. i'm worried that the difference in diameter will affect the drive and the height of the car.

From the tyre calculator: 235/40 goes best with 265/35 as there is minimal diameter difference. Not sure in other states but in QLD overall diameter difference must not be more than 15mm.

Speedo does go out but very minimally for the below combos.

Stock Tire - 225/45R17 >Search Tires Tire 1 - 235/40R18 >Search Tires Tire 2 - 265/35R18 >Search Tires

Rim Diameter: 18 in 457.2 mm

Rim Diameter: 18 in 457.2 mm

Overall Diameter: 24.97 in 634.23 mm

Overall Diameter: 25.40 in 645.16 mm

Overall Diameter: 25.30 in 642.62 mm

Actual Speed: 60 mph 100 km/h

Speedometer1: 58.9 mph 98.3 km/h

Speedometer1: 59.2 mph 98.7 km/h

Speedometer Difference: - Speedometer Difference: 1.722% too slow Speedometer Difference: 1.313% too slow

Diameter Difference: - Diameter Difference: 1.7% Diameter Difference: 1.31%

It dosen't really matter on a rear wheel only drive car but it does depend moreso on the series of tyre you are using on the rear in comparison to what you had on the car before you got the 18s.

I first had 255/45/17 on the rears of the car then I went to 245/35/19 and it was the worst mistake I ever made plus the speedo was about 4-6 km/h out.

Now I've gone back to 17s and the ride is much better once again.
