Can anyone recomend a CD or something to learn the language. Ive seena few but VERY expensive.

any recomendations?

pimsluer is good and mininova is your friend

Go to monash uni clayton and pick up interactive japanese 1 and 2 by takako tomoda. Both books come with CD's and It's basicly what we are being taught in one year, very good book and has a good logical progression and range of topics to move through.

I would recommend Pimsleur as the way the lessons are done you have to pay attention.

The other tapes I have tried were really good if I had insomnia.

CD's are good, but try and get a hold of "Minna no Nihongo" Really useful for learning the language too

I can reccommend "Japanese for Busy People". Its become a series now. The first book in the series was my introduction to Japanese.
