Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has purchased and used the G4 8 Piston Callipers that are advertised on the Trader Forum - JustJap I believe.

If so, please advise braking performance, wheels used, cost of installation etc

Thanks heaps

Chris

Not sure if this helps, but I had a look at a set of these calipers side-by-side with a set of 8-Spot Monobloc Brembo's I've got going (eventually) onto my 32GTR & you'd almost say the G4's were modelled off the Brembo's, although they use a single pad per side vs 2 per side on the Brembo's.

I think from memory you'll need a 17"+ rim & they SHOULD be a good thing, especially for the price. They are 100% "bolt-on" so there are no mods required, come with braided-lines etc so if you have to pay to have them installed I can't see it being too pricey :(

ahh would be mad if someone did do it...would be sweet for drifting, braking drift or whatever they call it. Would mess up the brake biases bigtime with such large calipers on the rear hehe :P

I was looking into these for my GTR..

I spoke to a brake guy that also does imports and he says you get what you pay for.

They are very cheap for what they are. And coilovers from a company that also make these calipers fail badly under strain.

I'm not saying that that will fail, I merely recommend talking to some brake specialists about them. As with pad availability.

All I can say is - don't knock them until you have tried them !

I have a set of K-Sport 8 pot calipers & rotors on my Cosmo (these are the same as G4) - And they are an awesome package for the $$ - The car stops on a dime now !

Oh - and I also have the coilovers - very capable suspension package too ! Very light and very strong. Adjustable everything, and looks good too !

Don't go on hearsay ! Try them for yourself !
