I care what they do in the US as thats hopefully where they will make the fistfulls of $$ off gulible yanks that will be able to be burned producing the new GTR! :P

And lets face it, run by Renault or not, we all want the new GTR to kick ass in European company ( Porsche, Lambo et al.)

Hi'

The new GTR will be a flop...because no European Nation will buy it (Cost of petrol and premiun price tag )and it will be priced $240K plus if it ever hits Australias shores.

It will end up being badged Infinity in the USA and people will be able to buy it around $50K US

They might sell a few in the US though.

Renault is only after the glory with Nissan....to be able to control a Japanese car manufacturer.

The high volume mass market is the dreams of these companies...world dominance is another.

Nissan is going gay because some gay French dude is designing them that way. :P

Cheers

Yep, I particularly hate the way they bailed out & turned around a company that was rapidly going broke. Personally, I will never forgive them for that.

I'm with you mate. How dare they resurrect the company that gave us the Datto 1600 - Silvia - GTR etc. Gees what is the world coming too?

$240k? hahahahahaha, not a chance, try about $170K - won't be close to $200K.

If they do this petrol/electric thing, i can't see petrol being a "huge" problem, plus someone spending $150k on a car is not worried about petrol.

so.... in other words... no

Hi Daniel,

I could not buy a gtr32 New because it was priced at $110,000Aus in 1990.

The NEW GTR will be built for the Yanks in Left hand drive.(INFINITY BADGED)

They will have to tool up to sell to England,Australia,Japan for Right hand drive.

Plus the thing is a stand alone item with no other sibblings.

NO GTT,GTX,STAGEA which appeal to the general public.

Good luck if you think Renault , a European Company is going to produce a Porsche 911 Killer.

And loose cred by selling it to us for $150KAus.

Where would the logic be to that . Porsche 911 Turbo $340KAus last I looked.

But maybe they have this worked out and are willing to give us a RENAULT GTR Porche killer cheaply :P

The Yanks buy a Hummer for $40KUS fully loaded with leather.etc. and sell it to us for $200KAus.

Just stating the past...Even the Q45Infinity landed in Australia and sold for $120KAus..or did you forget.

Cheers
