Craig is the QLD distributor for Kuhmo, who make a very good semi slick - won Targa Tas in 04 or 05 and alot of top club level cars are using them up here. but he can supply any of those brands you mentioned, and he will probably be the best price in town.

i can get the federal SS595 in 245x50x16 for $145.90, can get any other size aswell. was the best price when i rang around for them (work friends husband owns home busniess)

^ as above..

shanef can you find out how much for the federal in 255/40/17?

I am keen to give the federal a try to see how they compare to the RE55

if you are after a semi slick, make sure you get the 595RS not the 595SS as shanef mentioned previously. I am very happy with the 595SS as a road tyre, but that's all they are. They're not anywhere near the Bridgestone RE55S semis I've used on the GTR, and I wouldn't expect the 595RS with its 180 treadwear to be in the same league as the RE55S either. But it would be a good option if you want a longer lasting semi-slick, or if you don't want the hassle and expense of a second set of wheels/tyres for the track. If outright pace is all that matters go with something else.

post-5226-1157028209.jpgIf you want some sticky tyres , try Silverstones , call Alan at Z CAR in Slacks Creek , highly reccommend the FTZ RR semi race / road , but not much road . Edited by brad_gtr

I agree I am using the 595RS as my road tyres...as far a semi slicks go they are the best for the road, but probably worst for the track (Compared to other semis) They are still heaps ahead of normal road tyres for grip, they offered the best comprimise for me :P

Yeah and dont get the SS595s! If the price is under $200 make sure it is indeed the RS the guy on the phone is talking about!

Another thumbs-up for Craig, good service - good price!

Thanx everyone and thanx harry~ i gave craig a call just now but i forgot its a big weekend out at QR this weekend with F3 and all...will go down n talk to him on monday, but yeah very friendly bloke~~

Well i am looking fer a set of true semislicks as i already have a set of street tyres and i still have a couple of spare semis, so probably wont go with the RT615 or 595RS...but dont get me wrong those tyres would be a great compromise fer both street n track use...

What about some drag slicks for stock rims???

Anyone...?

Im thinking of using semi slicks as my daily driven tyres (9.5" rears and 8.5" fronts) Then putting some slicks on my stock pair for the drags. Cause i just cannot launch the skyline. It over powers or underpowers. No slip in the clutch does not help...

I want a 11 second pass damn it... :)
