Hi guys,

I'm linked with a licensed quiktrak technician and he has plenty of quiktrack alarms to sella nd install for a hell lot cheaper price then what Quiktrack itself are offering.

He has the new Brant alarm (Mark 2) which is called Nemesis 2 which is an advanced version of the initial Quicktrack alarm atm and they are going for 2.6k on the market but he is offering it for 2k with full installation and one yr monitoring included.

If anyone wants full protection for their car contact me on pm.

How's quiktrak?

Quiktrak is a much better investment then paying full insurance in my opinion. If you know you are a good driver than just go for third party and get a quiktrak alarm. You will save heaps of money over the years.

Quiktrak has a silent alarm in which the thief wont know about but the quiktrak base will be informed once ur car has been broken into or violated. Quiktrak will call you up to inform you that ur car has been tampered or broken into and they will ask for your command. If they cannot contact you they will call the cops and once the cops are on the way to apprehend the thief QT will immobolize ur car and the thief will be ****ed up sideways.

Quiktrak has recovered over 24 million dollars worth of stolen cars.

Quiktrak has plenty of other features....

Visit the quiktrak site.

. . .

Life without me would be even more unbareable.

Quktrak retails its self named alarm for around the 2k price depending on ur car.

I was quoted for my r34 gt-t $2006.50 with 1 yr monitoring.

My link can do the latest alram which is better than the standard quiktrak (Nemesis 2 made by Brant alarms also known as Mark2) for 2k and that includes 1 yr monitoring and installation. But ur in melb hehehe.....

Do you know that the majority of aftermarket alarms are actually the same unit and made by the same manufaturer, but rebadged?

Also, what you are offering is nothing to write home about, one of my mates is a Quiktrak technician who teaches installers around Australia how to install them.

What alarm are you interested in?

The prcies vary.

But if i were you i'd get Nem2.

Quiktrak havent upgraded there current alarm yet although Nem2 will be tracked by quiktrak but the alarm isnt made by quiktrak as the other guy proclaimed before. It has several more features and is more advanced as far as I know.

Its made by Brant alarms.

But what ever alarm you want i can get for you at a cheaper price than retail with installation aswell.

Cheers

:uh-huh:

This explains it.

Brant use some of the same contractors that we use, so they know (and maybe sell) both systems. QuikTrak do not sell retail since 1 April, only through our dealers now.

If they/he wants to sell at less than our RRP, good on him. That's the idea of having dealers.

Brant do not have "QuikTrak" alarms, but they have sourced a GSM/GPS system.

The basic operating principles are the same (ie alarm reporting and tracking).

So basically, in this thread, they are not QuikTrak alarms as earlier stated, but rather, Brant items, correct?

I believe you are correct.

Sorry if i stated something with out fully researching it but all i know is that brant sell nem2 which is also an alarm/tracking and it is suppose to be better than quiktrack's alarm as quoted by my friend who buys alarms direct and installs them. hes been in the business for 17 years and is contracted by car dealerships to install alarms on their vechiles.

Skyline33: Umm i dont know how much the cost would be in melb sorry.

    • Damn it, I was at work last night, and stayed in a room there during the storm with the car outside, but undercover, I just went downstairs and well....there was a large steel locker that has come from some place last night, it wasn't anywhere I could see yesterday, and yeap, it landed on the fraking car....of course it did..... LOL So, I'll need to take it back for paint and panel, luckily it was only the boot that took the hit, so it could have been worse Serves me right for staying at work and getting on the cans with some of the boys
    • Yeah, really happy with how it all turned out As for aftermarket lip, nah, I'm not really a fan for practically reasons on a street car that gets driven everywhere  I did have the full lower kit on my 2015 STI, but found the front lip scrapped alot, even at stock 4x4ish ride height As the NC sits now, with the lowest point of the car at 110mm, so just legal, some steep driveways and steep speed humps will still "just" scrap those little plastic OEM air dam thingies on the undertray just before the front wheels
    • Here's one I help build and tuned a decade ago, Garrett  GTX3071R Gen 1, T3 twin scroll 0.83 rear housing. Went from larger 272 cams down to smaller Tomei Poncams to help with the low end. S13 non VCT motor. Car was purpose built for the track, hence low down was the focus. Note the actual dyno chart shows lower boost, however the EBC and boost gauge showed 1.9Bar (Ignore the torque, I was young and didn't know how to set derived torque)
    • I’m doing some side developments on SR20det S13 engines, its one my hobby cars used it to compare flow capacity of some smaller size wheels. SR20det is one of another JDM legendary engines I'm sure there are plenty of SR enthusiasts on this forum, I will share results some common turbo configurations here. a quick run down of what the car is: Wide body 180sx Type X with black top engine (blue). It has: Stock bottom end Haltech 1500 ECU 5-0 motorsports trigger kit Kelford SR20DET Beehive Spring with Titanium Retainers Kelford Cams SR20DET S13 188-B 268/272 Cams G25-660 Turbocharger in T2 .64 rear housing internally gated ARP Head studs MLS head gasket 1000CC ID injectors Walbro 450L Fuel pump Front mount cooler kit JJR’s 3 inches turbo back exhaust (its too short for the 180sx it had to be extended) Pump 98 fuel Hub Dyno tune So far made 270rwkws at 22psi full boost by 4500RPM. Engine is very knock limited hence a pretty bad looking top end. From previous experiences it seems like SR20dets are happier with bigger size turbine, some thing like a GT30 would make way better top end, but on same time response is lost. It won't be a problem with S15 VCT engines. I'll be testing alternative turbine housing, turbine wheel and possibly dump pipe options for extra flow to resolve the problem and of course E85 would resolve all the issues.
