What is the difference between a bar & plate / Tube and fin intercooler?

Yeah....just curious as to what the difference is. Which Flows better etc.

Any help would be great as im in the market for a cooler and wanting to know which one to buy

im not to sure about tube n fin, but if its wot i think it is its better

bar and plare reflect a lot of air back out of the cooler because they have flat edges facing outside, but if u have rounded edges on the "bars" then the air can still flow through the core

and u also want larger cores aposed to smaller restrictive cores

Bar & plate will cool more effectively, but provide less flow; and tube and fin flow more, but don't cool as well as a bar and plate.

Correct me if I'm wrong....

never seen a bar and plate cooler with round edges on the "bars"... is this possible?

Tube and Fin coolers are also lighter than bar and plate coolers, my 2cents anyhow

Its a bar and plate with the flow of a Tube n Fin.
