yup. and if you can't, thats wrong. a kit should be made to fit the car it is intended for perfectly. no if's but's or maybes.

maybe they should call the copy kits 'almost bodykits'. Seems not many people ever get perfect copy kits or maybe its just those who don't get a good kit end up venting their frustration on here / ns etc.

Lol mate fitted many kits?

It depends on who made the kit/moulds and how many kit pieces have been produced from the moulds.

hence the name of my business Midwest Bodykits

Not to ring my own bell.... But I have never seen a problem with kits that Monkey Warehouse makes. Top quality shit

jetspeed get their kits from monkey warehouse and they do have problems (also copys) my frist kit was from them and not one thing when on with out cutting it and making it fit. Carmate wants $308 for the sides so I kown I may have some problems realy just needed to know if they were going to be big prodlems. Thanks for all the help. also Silent, kursed & Sauce jetspeed have GENUINE body kits they are the ones that should fit no problems E.G. FINAL KONNEXION kits. looks like carmates bodykits are copys and copys don't always fit I think carmate needs to let people know that better.

Yeah... I spend quite a bit of time drooling over the R33 FK kit and wishing Icould afford it :) Again, you get what you pay for I guess, because for that price it had better bloody fit first time! XD

i got my front bar from carmate cause no one else sold it in Aus, its a perfect fit and the guy at carmate was very helpful to me

some people have had bad encounters with them but i reckon they r ok, also they say shipping is only a few days interstate but it takes ages!

your kit does look freakin hot i must admit tracidtrax!

silent, I know what you mean, and no i have never fitted a kit before, and I have heard a bit from others who have and vary rarely have I heard of probs with original kits only regularly with the copys.

I guess I wrote it thinking of a perfect scenario for kits in an ideal world (in a gingerbread house on lollypop laaane..)

Silent how many runs of a copy kit from the moulds can usually be made before the mould starts to alter the kits shaping to be an incorrect fit? i know it would vary a fair bit from quality of moulds, but i thought maybe you could give us a ballpark...

Mate it really depends on what the moulds are made out of and the user. Theres also different ideas on making moulds.

I cant be pacific but to make a decent mould can take weeks. Theres alot in mould making so im not going to go in it. If your still interested head towards google.com .

I've just fitted a veilside kit to a holden apollo! now that was some work .

I got my body kit from CarMate as that is where the dealer which I bought the car off said he could get parts from and he would get them installed and painted.

It looks great, can't comment on build quality as to me I am very novice and all parts "feel" the same to me.

There is some gaps where the parts don't exactly fit the car shape but that could also be from where the panel beater didn't take the extra time to make it fit but who knows.

I am very happy with how it looks on the car and the price. Only cost me $1000 for Front Skirt, Side Skirts and Rear Aprons (painted and fitted)... As I have a 4 door r34 I could not get alot of choices for sides or rears but fiqure go cheap for the first front skirt rather then the fancy nice ones I see on some other skylines.. You can see pics in my Album link. Haven't had time to take photos during the day or up close but you can see how it is not noticable the little bits where is slightly does not stick to the original body.

Drew.

be all ye warned. the wrath of a customer scorned. :)

Jetspeed, the bunch of F%#KING A$#EHOLES!

I took my pristine 94 R33 to them for one thing, the trust look gtr front Bar.

The apprentice (so im told by that PRICK Lee) used an angle grinder and cut off both bumper supports, ground pieces out of my headlight casing and ripped out all of the factory guard lining.

Greasy hand prints over my bonnet and guards.

Then fitted the bar, with ZipTies!!! 14 of them.

No screws, no bolts, nothing.

Just 14 white 4-5mm domestic zip ties

We have all seen the work Jetspeed has (supposedly) done, the reason we all go there right? so you gotta have just a bit of trust in workmanship.

When i picked up the car i was in a hell of a hurry.

Now, imagine my abject horror when at 110km i hear a rattle, i take the closest off ramp, i slow to 40km and BANG SCRAP SPLINTER CRUNCH my bar falls of the zip ties shear thru.

As you can all imagine, one VERY PISSED OF 33 owner presents to Jetspeed the next morning.

Lees response?

Have a guess.

No?

He says ......... Prove it.

Carmate to the rescue.

I bought a new Bar off them, Like a glove! sensational, brilliant.

I have nothing but thanks for the Asian fella working there (forget his name :) )

(not the other tub of lard that works there, lazy bastard :( ),

my 33 is how whole again.

Carmate the whole way. :)

Baaa Haaa Haaa

i've fixed up so many jobs from jetspeed.... zippy tie kings

i'd love to post up a pic of a beauty about 10zip ties in a chain on both sides of a 32 gtst front bar.. funniest thing i've ever seen...

but yeah YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... flopped/Copied bodykits will never fit. if you want a quality kit go to a quality supplier

my 0.02c

i had a kit put on from jetspeed when i had my non turbo 33 and they did a shit house job not even the colour of the car matched the kit.

all around there were huge gaps and both side tape everywhere showing and i payed very good money and 3 weeks of waiting sorry to say will never deal with them again.

Thats just so wrong...

yeah bunch of cheap rip-off barstards,

still bring bile to my throat as to how close the bar came to coming off at 110kmhr, a matter of seconds.

It would have shattered radiator, FMIC, coolers tyes and windscreen.

not to mention the cars behind.

And that prick says prove it.

boycott the f*&kers i say

:(
