hi all

i am thinking of buyin a Piggy Back ECU for my r33gts25 and getting it tuned on a dyno. it seems to b running pritty rich, when its sitting there idling you can smell fuel. from a disstance away and i checked the plugs and they are black. So it has to b running rich.

Anyway done this? did you get a decent amount of power out of you engine by doing this??

or is it a waste of time on a NA car???

thanks for your help :)

I have a rb25de head on my rb30 . I use the stock rb25de ecu and an Apexi SAFC 2 . I also have an air fuel ratio gauge fitted . I have no trouble setting fuel mixture and get good fuel economy. Your engine shouldnt be running rich if its standard , check to see if your water temp sensor is working and sending a signal to the ecu . Unless you have done some modifications to your engine to increase performance , theres not much to be gained by fitting a piggy back ecu .
