hi people,

i recently boosted my car to 12 psi and i have 2 probs 1 of these is i've boosted it to 12 psi but on my stock boost gauge its hitting +7 hmg which is equivelant to 14.6 psi and 2nd prob is everytime i hit max boost im getting backpressure anyideas why this maybe happening? thanks for takin time to read and help much appreciated.

what do you mean by back pressure? do you mean that the car is cutting out? if it is then you are hitting rich and retard. the only real way around it is a new ecu.

as for the stock gauge, it may be inaccurate.

mmm not cutting out, as in its giving off tiny backfires like when i hit full boost i hear lil popping sounds. :(

oh, so its missfiring.

in that case, what sort of plugs do you have, and what gap?

to be honest brother i have no idea i recently bought it and as far as i know its 100% stock so u think it might be the plugs?

more than likely it is the plugs. get some ngk BCPR6ES. they are about $3 each. they should be gapped to 0.8mm. stick them in and see what happens. if that doesn't fix it , it may be that the coilpacks need to be taped up.
