seem to have got rid of the drama, for the time being.

I added some more fuel in the rev range from 4600rpm up. As much as 11%.

I've given it one run so far. Will see if the issue returns on further tests.

how did you get the extra fuel delivery? what else are you runing to change the ECU?

careful u dont burn out your fuel pump rev

you may be compensating for what the pump is trying to push out....especially if ur afc was tuned before and fuel curves were correct

It's back again!

It's possibly a regulation issue, I'll have a look at the vacumehose on the reg to check for splits.

Then I'll have to look at fuel pump. Doh!

i know that you were going to get it tuned soon and i thougt that you may have gotten it sorted out.

only reason im asking is because im a concerned fellow skyline owner... and i have exactly the same problem

The best place to go looking for knock is around peak torque....

The issue is most probably a blocked injector or two.

Will rip out plugs tonight. And then rip out injectors if there is a suspect plug.

i was speaking to a mate last night and he seemed to think that i should have a go at cleaning the AFM (its the stock unit) and i figure that if im running a oil based K&N filter it may have rooted the unit??? i will have a go at that..see if it may be that

the best intentions your mate has and all he may not be on the right track.

If your car has problems idling especially when cold then maybe the afm is to blame otherwise its not likely.

Have you checked the plugs condition and gaps?

i have platmuns in at the moment, not sure of the gap though, Cred did it during a service. though speaking to Zack at cypher he says that its the gap which makes the difference.

mate, rather than talk to the tuners about theory, just rip out all the plugs and have a look at them. Check the gap is set to 0.8mm.
