Coilovers - Rebuild / Reco - Where ?

Anyone know a place in Sydney that will repair coilovers ??

Don't know what brand they are - but they look the goods and are nice and stiff !

One strut has a small bend in it - springs etc are good - so rebuilding would be good over replacement.

Anyone know a place that can do this ?

try www.shockreco.com.au they just did mine for the gloria. I haven't tested them as i sold the car and the shocks went with the car un installed

cost quite a lot.

150 a corner for basic

300 a corner if shafts need hard chroming.

if one of the shafts is bent there is little hope of repairing it. it may be saveable but i dont know how you'd straighten a shock shaft.

I had them, rebuilt twice within 18months...

BTW if you have a bent shaft you will need a new shock regardless as they cant rebuild one corner and not the other when you have a new shock there is a minium of 2 new shocks anyway.

Just buy brand new shocks. The bilsteins are the best bang for buck.
