have you made sure its lost its charge? if so make sure that you want the mechanic to do a leak test to locate the leak. it could be expensive depending where it is! its ileagal to just simply re gas and its a waist of you cash! Expect to pay over $70 a kg for R134a refrigerant. Your system will take around 1 kg. get the job done right mate!

hey i just got car from Japan a few months ago & when it was complianced it was not re-gassed (got it real cheap) & now summer is here i want to re-gas it

Its illegal to regas to the old gas. Think you need a conversion to R134A or similar R13A?
