Hah thought you could keep it quiet eh?

Have a good one mate! I'd come celebrate with you but I'm a bit busy pumping iron and injecting steroids into myself so I can buy a Harley.

I'll make sure I catch up with ya when I'm down next week... maybe Sunday morning brekky's at the lakes again?

Ooops! Busted!!!!

Thanks guys and girls. I swear SAU (especially Vic) is better than a family.

Leewah, I just knew you were one of the Wiggles. Bet you have a drawer full of skivvies. Thanks mate.

Nothing special planned today but mysteriously a mate asked us over for some beers and Steak on the barbie tonight so I'll have a few I'm sure. Spence and I can roll a carton up in about 3 hours

So far I've managed to plunder a new 6 Gig Sony Walkman in......midnight purple.....but yet to fit bronze TE37's and I have been allowed to get the track barge back into the garage to start work on the engine but any plans to throw in a 26 or make up a 26/30 are on hold until a contract is signed on the house so a rebuild of the 25DETT is likely.

Plenty of barbed wire (XXXX) in the 500litre bar fridge so visitors welcome anytime. Not worried about getting back to Brisbane just yet and you lot don't make it any easier to leave.

Cheers. You're the best.

    • If you go 2.8, you're going to want bigger turbos. Scratch that. If you go 2.8, you're going to want one single larger turbo.
    • Definitely the stroker kit. once you mention you have a RB28 everyone will assume you will flog them and hopefully won't start asking about support mods. Anyone will be too scared to race you, except maybe the RB30 boys
    • Just a quick update: I decided to go ahead with the de-cat for now. The exhaust shop inspected the catalytic converter and said it was in good condition. I took a look myself, and it does not appear broken nor clogged. After the de-cat, the car feels more responsive and smoother. The shop also reinstalled the exhaust temperature sensor into the de-cat pipe, and now the warning light no longer comes on, even when driving hard. The only thing that’s bugging me is the tinny, “can-like” sound the exhaust makes now (similar to having a hole in the muffler). The shop suggested that I might need to replace the muffler. I'll have to think on what to do next.
    • I want to start upgrading but don't have the budget to drop 15k at once, if i was to do one first which would be better and why?
    • Yuh. It is very rare for a single turbo to throw ceramic into the engine. Quite common on GTRs. As I posted above. Mine did destroy the O2 sensor on the way out though! Plastic compressor is fine with the temperature. It's not some flimsy PE/PET/PP thermoplastic. It's a thermoset resin with reinforcing material in it (a composite, as posted by @Lithium above). The compressor never sees much more than 100°C because it's never boosting very high. If you boost it high enough to make a lot of temperature, then the turbine will depart the scene and stop the party anyway.
