It all seems a bit confusing to me, maybe because I havent really looked into it.

You pay with credit card or straight into their account, and shipping, there were like 4 choices of who to ship with. Who did you pick and was it expensive? Is it best to order a few things at once to save on shipping? How long does it take?

With taka.. you place an order on what you want to buy... they check their stock from the warehouse and work out the shipping costs. They then give you a total in $JP on how much it is going to cost all up and if you agree then you click to make the purchase.

If not then after a few days the order will be removed and no payment is charged. It usually takes all up 7 days from when you place the order.

Shipping is based on weight so you don't save by ordering all at once.. a neat thing they do is rip out any identification from the packaging and declare the price of the stock you purchase as being really low so you dont get charge any extra from import duty.

Their preferred shipping is with EMS. I've also purchased quite a number of things with them with no problems so highly recommend.

I bought my Trust MX full exhaust system from Taka, it was a bit slow due to Trust MX was out of stock, seems ppl are keen towards HKS dragger and N1, which I don't. But once the item was on stock, it takes about 5 business day via EMS shipping to Melbourne, incl custom clearance and everything.

PerfectRun seems to be a bit pricier than Taka, but they offer some items that aren't in Taka, and vice versa. So do your price comparison 1st between the two.

Thanks guys. I'm actually looking at buying a few bits straight up, coil overs, exhaust, fmic, etc, probably bout $12k worth of bits. So I dont really wanna lay it all on the line. Might just try some guages to start with and see how it goes.

By all accounts he sounds good.

rs73 - I'd be interested to know how much the freight on the exhaust cost?
