Now its not everyday I get distracted with a gorgeous dog hanging out the window of a car in peak hour traffic but yesterday it happened and I had to brake pretty hard and fast so not to rear end a camry.

Just after I broke hard I heard a clunk in the front end ;)

What could it have been?

What could it have been?

worn suspension bushes, something not bolted in tightly in the front end like suspension arms, etc.

plenty of things it could be, does it do it everytime u brake now or only when braking really hard?

ok its happened again but this time it wasn't a slam on the brakes, it was more of fast brake and once I had my foot firmly down on the pedal (on the metal)the car jolted 3 times.. I'm ordering Castor Rod Bushes from SK, anything else ya'll think I will need and what is the problem?

Jack up the car onto 4 wheel stands, take off the wheels, and TIGHTEN the bolts that hold on the Brake Calipers to the wheel. Id suggest that maybe one of the caliper bolts is loose (may not have been tigtened properly in compliance when they checked the brake pads), therefore the caliper is moving slightly under heavy braking load forces.

Worth a 1hr check anyway. Good luck. :(
