Hey ya'll.

I've been meaning to post this for a while now but have been slack.

For any of you that want number plates for your car then I have a friend who will make them for you.

I've just bought a set for my new car and they look great.

They are perspex, can be done in whatever colour you want and there are more options for customising available and yes, he is a professional.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll put you in touch with him.

For $80 though I think they are great value.

I thought only people in jail made number plates...?

or is that where you met him? :(

Legal? That's one of those annoying buzz words the media like to throw around.

I like to call it a "Law adibement miscalculation".

Pics? uh, yeah I guess I can try and put some up, won't be for a few days though. He'll probably only deal in the ACT but maybe I'm wrong, I wasn't expecting so much interest to be honest.

I'll talk to him at work tomorrow and get back to ya'll.

Thats how i got my plates...

Thro a mate...

BUT!

as they look nice with all thoes pretty colours.. one problem..

They are not reflective.. so unless you have the rear one properly lit up.. Cops will get you as they are not visible at night... even with headlights on them.

yeah he's right.

Most skylines etc will light up the plates perfectly, just be sure before ordering.

I spoke with him today and he'll be happy to send them interstae, let me just finalise the details and get ya'll some pics and it'll be right to go.

    • hahaha @joshuaho96 the most action it gets is when I have to drive from West to SE VIC to meet the fam. Even then, it;s on highway cruising speeds
    • don't know anyone in this thread, but i just found it, read the entire thing in a few hours, realized greg is still posting progress, and just have to say, this is awesome. it looks awesome. 100% right about the Uras kit making it a pain to get on hoists...have the same kit on my 34 and it takes six 2x4s and race ramps to do it without taking parts off. this reminds me exactly of this thread. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/r63-amg-the-unicorn-of-my-destruction/110824/page8/
    • The only way to make that better is to weld on some bozozoku tips up past window height and roll with the cool kids.
    • I'd want an even MORE side on view. More or less you want to make sure the outlet is actually square with the outermost part of the bumper. Or you end up getting soot all over your bumper from your hektik exhaust. In any case, it looks pretty close. I think the way to fix this is probably more of an overhaul at an exhaust specialty shop if you want tips that are rounded off or sit nicely with the bumper but have proper clearance and don't move - Probably more of a redesign than a quick fix. I've pencilled in my own exhaust with its own various problems, pinholes, PITA fitment, and other issues and can see myself going to a shop and saying "JUST DO THIS BUT BETTER?"  Which is gonna work better than any more small fixes. I'm gonna chime in here officially with "from an outsider perspective this exhaust looks fine so this is self OCD probably" (which I also suffer from)
