Yep good call Henry. I've already asked Ivan to keep me up to date from his end (RPM customers) The recent additions to the "Current Entry List" are regular RPM customers. I will update the list regardless of where the entry comes from so we all know who's entered. The forum list has priority.

Ivan is actually a member of this forum & has been keeping up to date with the 2 threads.

*Although I've given until 1wk prior to pay, paying sooner rather than later would be best. That way it's all done & out of the way*

Hopefully I'll have the times info today.

Hi,

Just dropping a line to say that I am confident that the Test and Tune/ Drag day will work out great and I'm sure that each one of us will get more than a fair few runs while also gives us a chance of trying different driving techniques in order to get our best times.

I will keep you guys in touch and also Matt (Whatsisname) on further details that might arrise.

Many Cheers,

Ivan

All drag day info is now confirmed :)

The day will run from 10am till 5pm. We tried for a later start-finish but AIR wouldn't come to the party ;) Oh well, hopefully it's a nice cool day (with NO RAIN).

The forum entry list will be monitored by Ivan (as per above) so there'll be no dramas with anyone missing out who's already entered.

We've decided to aim for all payments to be in at least 1WK prior to the event. That way if people pull out we have plenty of time to fill their spot. We'll have a reserve list for just this reason (all entries above 50 will be reserves). I would almost guarantee people will pull out so keep the entries coming people!

Aim to get to AIR right on 10 (or a few minutes before). The first car on to the track should be no more than 10mins later :( Then it's on for young & old till 5pm.

Cheers,

Matt

Iv,

Thanks for the opportunity to run this day in the first place mate :) Especially @ a decent price given the lowish number of cars.

I spoke to Anna(AIR chief) in regards to scrutineering and she explained that it would take approx 10 mins to get a car scrutineered, therefore when the first car is examined and passed, it can go along and do its run, while the 2nd in line gets scrutineered which in turn takes 10mins.

I believe that is how it will works and depending on how many bays that are running, this should speed the process up.

I have the entry forms prepared at the RPM counter and have got 1 person paid so far.

Tonky Tong's VL with 2JZ conversion.

Ivan.

Rob , i dont think u have any chance of taking a passenger. I got to take a passenger on the day for 3 rides , but this was because it was "Fan Apreciation Day" and they had a raffle for a ride in 1 of 3 cars down the track. They supplied full fireproof suits, helmets etc. So as for saftey sake i dont think it will happen again. Was good fun, even got like 5-8 ppl wanting my autograph . heheh . Drags is a funny place.

SR910, heres a small list of drag tyres to choose from, Hoosier r reasonably good tyres, tho i would recomend MT "Mickey Thompson" slicks or Goodyear slicks. Also M@H DOT street slicks are pretty good as well. thats what i used to run on my car. Helped me to achive a 1.7 60ft and well worth the money. But be carefull as the bite in slicks can easly break the weakest drive line components, eg clutch , drive shafts etc. Just thought ide say that as nothing worse than breaking your car and having no way of getting it home. Also if u dont have big HP the car will prob bog big time with slicks.

Paul,

Spectators are not permitted. Sorry mate :P Entrants are allowed 2 "pit crew" (themselves & 2 others). The "pit crew" may choose to sit on their arse & watch if they so desire :P

Cheers,

Matt

I'm already full up sorry Brad :D I'm sure someone will have a spot for you.

Sooo that's the secret I've been missing out on - FLOOR IT! :spank:

Sorry Brad I'm full up too .... David & Ronan already saw the post and RSVP'd. Btw Matt count me in (still) for the day - whilst I'm pissed off about the one lane thing the practise will be invaluable!

Shame no spectators - doesn't make sense to me - a reasonable fee could help cover the cost and allow other enthusiasts (with bog stock autos) to share the enjoyment of seeing some real cars in action. :D

    • Well, no. It's an 023, which is pretty similar to an 040. Although it is hard to tell from the specs, as given.
    • Hmm. Maybe the (other thing I forgot about!) Haltech removes at least some, if not all, of the problem I described. I guess there is still the possibility of getting it wrong if the AC is set up/wired up for the Haltech as if it was in an R34 (simply because it's on a Neo), and that's playing foul with the R32 AC computer.
    • Glad it eventually came out Duncan!   I believe that might be 040. 044 is the inline pump, so has screw fittings in and out. 040 is more just drop it in fuel and the bottom is "open" (mesh) from my memory
    • well mate, while I hear your pain, turns out I don't feel it this time! Must have been a bastard of a job crammed into the boot The tank was very empty (probably pumped out, not dropped and drained because there were some fumes still) and in very good condition internally. I'm sure he never ran e85 in it I don't know what the hell Nissan's fuel tank engineers were thinking about their clipping system, this hanger was really hard to get moving but came out in the end All looks very good (as I'm starting to hopefully expect) and Matty was right it is an 023 (044) bosch which should be plenty for the injectors and turbo
