Hey guys, ive been advised that the series 1 r33 gtst bonnets are quite lightweight from factory, as i was going to buy a fibreglass version of it, butr was told not to, as its not worth it if youre just after goign lighter than stock.....can someone shed me some light on this subject?

also is it possible to get a carbon fibre vinyl that makes my bonnet look like cf?

s1 bonnet is heavy as.. dont like mine at all..

Yeah they are heavy, but they don't flutter at speed so get CF or glass but don't come bitchin when it's slapping all over the place. Even the GTR ally ones move a fair bit. :)

I won't go on about how dangerous CF bonnets are to unprotected people if you hit them, but lets just say that if you race seriously then have one to go to the track, but for street it is just wank factor.

I have a cCF bonnet on my r33 and its heaps lighter than the stock one. Like GTRgoeffe said wank factor and dangerous foro pedestrians.

i personally love my CF bonnet and yes it does flap a bit and i have tried all sorts of things to minimize it but it flapps a little, nothing major.
