Well, out comes the secret weapon I've had stored for a while.....

For Sale: GENUINE - HKS - Bar & Plate - Intercooler

Item Condition: New & Unused.

Dimensions: 410mm x 260mm x 5"

Inlet & Outlets were 2 1/2" ID for a length of 2" so 2" was cut from each side and an alloy weld run on the edge of both sides. This allows the hose clamps to then actually clamp the hose down without it sliding/blowing off :lol: (Still have the cut-offs stored, if buyer wishes to hang onto them too)

Hi-temp 60% Aluminium based 3M 'Flat Black' coating was then used to paint the Intercooler. The endtanks were painted in a few coats. The core was then sprayed just enough to cover its silver appearance at 30 degrees and 60 degrees parrallel to its face. Therefore only protuding an inch at the most into the core itself. Overall, this keeps the Intercoolers effciency unchanged and helps keep Police and scumbags away :evil:

Extra Info: Officially rated by HKS @ 1000HP. Correctly rated by myself back down to 700HP. I'm sure it it will be able to flow 1000HP worth of air @ 40psi, but there is no way it can physically cool it down to an acceptable temperature with only so much frontal area.........

Hence this going on the market and another Air/Air Intercooler on its way

To those thinking about going Water/Air Intercoolers, ask yourself is the 1.1psi pressure drop at ONLY 7psi really worth it ? Imagine the drop at 30-40psi........

Please don't try to tell me how this compares to the eBay Bar & Plate Intercoolers.....

This FMIC weighs only 9Kg (Including its Cast-Aluminium end-tanks - with flow design being more critical then weight here......), that for its overall volume will be less then anything you can find on eBay
