Diff Is Making A Humming Sound

Hello people, My diff is making a humming sound is it time to change the oil or does it sound more serious.

How do you change the oil in ur diff, i can see the drain plug. But where do you fill it once it is drained, is the fill plug hiding i cant find it., Thanks.

Mine went past the humming sound years ago.

It now has a really annoying high pitch whine at certian road speed and throttle conditions.

Bald tyres will have the same noise.Check them first.Then wheel bearings.

Nothing to worry about usually. Is it when there's no load on the drivetrain? i.e. when you're moving but zero throttle?

Mine's done it for years.

Yeah mate thought it might of been the bald tyres but just replaced them still got the bloody noise. I will check the wheel bearings.

Yep thats it, the noise is really shitting me. I will check the wheel bearings and give the diff an oil change does anyone know where the filling plug is.
