Hi Martin,

Im running track spec D2 coilovers in my r33 gts-t, i've had them for almost a year now. I bought them from EVO-R and they come with a full warrenty...

in the begining i had a problem with my rears, due to factory fault. i went back and had them exchange for new items, since then i havnt had any problems at all with them.

I use my car mainly for street, i find that they are alittle on the bumpy side (thou i run them on mid/hard damper setup) But when i take the car to track it handles extremmely good. there was a huge overall improvement in the car :spank:

Hope that helps Michael

I've got the G4 Coilovers in my car, price/performance you can't beat them. They're rebuildable so when they come to the end of thier life, just fix them back up.

I've got the Street Spec ones, and find them pretty hard, I've got them on mid-damper settings. My car only does a few km's a day, but even then sometimes the hardness of them takes it toll on your anal ring over an unexpected bump!

BUT that's the best bit, the car handles BEAUTIFULLY.

I had the wrong shock legs supplied by www.justjap.com (the internally threaded bottom bits if you will) which made the car sit rediculously low on the highest setting. One call to Justjap had them express-post me some new ones to fit immediately! A++ Customer service!

OH, and I fitted them myself too - piece of piss (NB. I had a hoist to use but!)

just took my car over the pits for it wa rego and it was failed cos of the tein c/overs...

"apparently" any c/overs with a bottom adjustable tube (2 lock nuts at the top and another at the base of the tube, see pic) are illegal. I asked why and the reason...

"well mate there isnt a 2nd nut to lock the bottom like there is at the top... vibrations can cause this to come loose and if your strut winds out and goes bang then who knows what might happen"

what BS!!!!! fit them properly and you shouldn't have any issues, but be prepaired to swap them out if you get stickered. I even asked if adding a second nut will pass them but "NUP"!

handy hint... NEVER GO TO WARWICK PITS!!!! :D:)

ya.. if the shock is turning, i think you have more issues to worry about (is it attached to the car to begin with? :D)

it's the same old story, depends where you take it.

my teins have passed over welshpool, but then ive seen people go through welshpool and get knocked back for teins aswell...

personally i wouldnt buy them given the choice.. and they dont make them for bikes :)

back on topic now too...

ive heard lots of good comments on the D2's for the price, you cant go past them.. especially for street use.

i have teins, set to the softest damper front and rear, and i get a constant anal bashing, as kym ever-so-well put it.

hey dudes

i got d2s and they are pretty good and you can dump em pretty low :D

they ride good and they can be stiff and can be soft enuff i recommend em

go see Mao at evo r and grab a set of these wont be disappointed to

mao also does gaurd rolling so u can dump your car

like mikey said the will be gettin a service and rebuild machine soon so u can service the coilovers and change spring rates.

also evo r are the head for D2s so they have all suspension arms available etc etc

cheers

andrew
