ok herez the story,I was doing a revese parking in a car parking spot near the place I workand there was 2 other spotz besidez me that was free. This old lady (around 40-50) in a old green Honda Civic was right behind me shouted @ me saying

'Hey wat u doing? I want to go through!'

I replyed 'I'm parking, there are two spotz beside me if u want to park.

Then she said ' I want to get out of this car park and your blocking me...'

And I'm like 'WTF? U can reverse out, go around or go besidez me....jesus..'

Then she tryz to drive past me and then 'BOOM'

I get out of my car swearing @ the lady 'WTF are u doing??? Jesus Christ!!!'

I looked @ the damage she done and it was only a scratch on my old stocky rim.

the old lady said ' Oh I'm soo sorry plzzzz, I got no money'

and with the car she was driving, I thought that I'm not gonna get much money out of this old lady anyway...so I let her go...

anyway out of this story.....u rekon it was right to let her go? Or should I have been a real a#sehole and drained money from her? I never been in a car crash 'yet' so just wondering wat I should do...

out of the damage she made, it was a 5 cm scratch from my rimz which the rimz face was peeling off anyway.....my friendz said that I would have got around $20........and a huge waste of time..

thats like wat happened to me...1 week after i got my car....

some ppl are just F*CKED in the head....

there is obviously not enough room and they just go for it and run into ya...

how retarded can you get.....

like nugget said....if that happened no way would i just let her off..

Hey I think in away it was very god hearted of you to let her go.

If it was a stock rim that was peeling anyway, its not too bad. If there had been any scratches or body damage I would have gone nuts.

And just think if you do good things then goods things happen to you. :uh-huh:

Least that gives you a reason for you to change your rims, I have given my mum that reason coz one of my back rims has a lil buckle, but my rims are pritty ugly.

Anyways takecare and look out for old civics in the future :D

ALWAYS TAKE THE DETAILS OF THE OTHER DRIVER.

You may not take action, but what if she buckled the rim, or damaged the diff., etc. These things you can not see when parked, but while driving home you might feel the car vibrating, or hear something crunching.

It is just a piece of mind, to have something to go back to, if a problem arised. Now that you did not take any details, she can deny it actually happened.

I pulled up into a petrol station last week and this fu*kwit backed into my front bumper collecting the headlight lense at the same time. This was 1 week after I had the car resprayed!! Its a fu*king nuisance more than anything else so I say let em pay!

As Al said, there may have been more than just visual damage so always get details anyway.

if she was on pension make her pay get our taxes back soemway

She as a pensioner is a strain on society she does not work she does not contribute to the economy she is useless and wastes her money get all you can form her :P

what goes around comes around i say.....

but then again she was being a b!tc% at the same time and if she gets away with it now she will do the same next time.

i work for a insurance co. and i say that you still should have xchanged details. May face more problems later.

I purchased my first car R33 gts-t and i have been hit from the rear 3 times now im like use to it always xchange details mate. could have got all ya rims dipped and sprayed.

She probably makes a good living out of going around hitting peoples cars and crying poor.

You should have at least taken her details down, that way you could give yourself a bit of time to think about what you wanted to do. :)

    • This would be a new pump with new gears. I'm just unclear on whether it's a good idea to run more oil pump flow if you don't actually need said flow. Oil level is set a minute or so after shutting off a warm engine so wouldn't the high RPM oil level in the sump end up lower all things equal? Plan is OEM clearances, main concern in my mind is whether the OEM pump can keep up with the flow requirements of any additional oil coolers.
    • Don't do what I did, use a 300000km old housing with billet gears. The old pump probably was clearanced with saw dust, Edward Lee's special engine treatment sauce and a good odo wind back. I had oil pressure issues, then replaces pump with new housing, new billet gears and 2x track day later binned a motor due to other oil related issues due to a previous engine builder. Long story short, buy a M2 or 3 or 4 N55/S55/S58 and enjoy life.
    • Yeah. "New pump" does not have to mean "massive pump".
    • Well, can you still get an OEM pump, and by the time you're buying a Nismo/N1 etc, just buy another aftermarket pump. It's better to have the pump able to flow more if its needed, than for your pressure to drop off. At any point in time, you're replacing the oil pump in a rebuild. Aftermarket pumps are likely going to be a better economical choice, and they don't have any negatives, even if they can flow more.   Also, when you're saying "replace the pump gears" are you meaning leave a 25+ year old housing in the engine with unknown wear, and just put new gears in? As that sounds silly to me, especially if you do have that minute amount of wear, that means your new pump gears now have a little bit more clearance beside them, which means, whelp, you may not get to build a lot of oil pressure or make a lot of flow.
